I have an LCD flat panel ACER AL1916 and the monitor control panel, controls brightness, etc, keeps popping up intermittently and the controls don't solve the problem. Anyone know what to do? Its only a few years old.

The aspect ratio is expressed as two numbers separated by a colon (x:y). and they actually represent the relation between width and height of (in your case) your monitor.

Did you mean to change the resolution of your monitor? Could you please explain your problem in more detail? What is it exactly you want to achieve?

try to adjust front panel button, for the brightness control + - sign, if not function the problem is the lcd ckt. and need service.

The Up or Down button on your Flat Panel monitor is stuck. Please contact Dell Tech Support to have the monitor replaced if this is still within warranty

sounds like backlight is failing,contact acer and see if its under warranty.

go to start -> all programs->accessories->accessiblity->accessibilty wizard.click on next and see around

Alter your gamma,brightness,contrast,etc with your grapics card settings,

Your logic board need to service.

I had the same issue. I pressed and hold the + button and the monitor did an auto adjust and the pop up stopped.
