The water comes out of both the shower head and the tab simultaneously. If the knob controlling the water flow is turned to the side that control the water to shower head then about 75% of the water flows to shower head and at the same time about 25% flows to the tab. I can't figure out why?

I will have to assume this issue developed and was not present at first use after the initial installation.

There are generally only two reasons for your problem. The first is that the diverter mechanism is simply wearing out and/or broken. The second it that there is a foreign object preventing it from doing its job correctly. Either way the diverter must come out. I have provided a couple of links below that should help get it out.

Once out, put a wadded up towel over the end of the tub spout opening so as to prevent any water from coming out of it. Then, for just a moment, turn your shower on full and adjust your temperature from full cold to full hot. This process should dislodge any foreign matter and send it out the opening the diverter came out of and also will probably get you wet. I usually plug the tub so I can catch what, if anything, comes out. Having a second person holding a bowl over the diverter opening helps reduce the water splash.

Rinse off the diverter and reinstall it. Turn the shower on and see if there is any difference in how much water comes out the spout while in the shower mode. If nothing has changed then the next step is to replace the diverter.

The diverter assembly part number is A603819

Electronic ignition hot water heater (6gal) lights but wont get water hot. The red light inside my RV goes off and back on after about 3 minutes. When I checked the unit outside, the pilot is lt, but not...

check to see if setiment has settled on the pilot....blow it out with air if it has. This issue comes up often with water heaters and rv refers. If that is not the problem and the pilot remains lit, but never increases when the thermostat is turned up, you probably need a new gas valve/thermostat.

Water sprays out the diverter

Remove hot/cold button in handle, remove screw/pull off handle. Remove the two screws in the wall plate/remove plate. Use a wrench to remove the diverter assembly. Get new diverter assy and reinstall eveything. You don't need to turn off the water.

Price Pfister Shower--No water to shower

Does the tub spout water flow stop when the shower knob is pulled?

Was the systems pipping flushed before the shower head was installed?

It may be clogged, remove the shower head and then attempt to operate. If it is clogged you will see debris trapped in the screen at its connection point. The shower head can be disassembled - cleaned - reassembled

Is the shower head an adjustable type, that may be in the off position?

Good luck

Not alot of hot water?

1st Check the temperature restricting coller behind the cover under the handle. It is used to restrict the flow of hot water to stop you from being scaulded.
2nd Those set screws will control the flow. Check to ensure both sides are open the same amount of turns. If the water pressure is good turn in the cold side.

'99 Hansgrohe Aktiva Family Set. All heads & controls are leaking

the temp control knobs have little plastic tabs over the hot and cold handles. To remove them take a flat blade screw driver( small with sharp head) or a small pen knife( cover drain with a wash cloth
and pop the tabs off

Take a medium size phillips screw driver and tighten the screw

Put tab back o and you are done

If they work loos again remov e tabs, screws put loctite ( You can get a small tube for m ace or hd) screw threads and tighten

Temp control knob either has same tab or has a hex type of set screw or has a large lock nut

use a channel lock pliars over nut ( protect chrome finish by putting washcloth over then put wrench over cloth

You mentioned heads I am assuming shower head you need to use an adjuatible wrench to turn the nut (at head) and a vice rip or chanel locks over washcloth around the eustaceon ( chrome pipe coming out of wall

If you have teflon tape put that on the threads of showr head and tighten

Best of luck to you!
