Shower valve has a thumping

Vfiippone,
I have the same issue with a Danze Sonora shower Valve. I called Daze and they sent me a new cartridge. After installing it I have the same problem. I also put a surge arrester on my toilet which had little effect. If you find the cure please post it.

The water comes out of both the shower head and

I will have to assume this issue developed and was not present at first use after the initial installation.

There are generally only two reasons for your problem. The first is that the diverter mechanism is simply wearing out and/or broken. The second it that there is a foreign object preventing it from doing its job correctly. Either way the diverter must come out. I have provided a couple of links below that should help get it out.

Once out, put a wadded up towel over the end of the tub spout opening so as to prevent any water from coming out of it. Then, for just a moment, turn your shower on full and adjust your temperature from full cold to full hot. This process should dislodge any foreign matter and send it out the opening the diverter came out of and also will probably get you wet. I usually plug the tub so I can catch what, if anything, comes out. Having a second person holding a bowl over the diverter opening helps reduce the water splash.

Rinse off the diverter and reinstall it. Turn the shower on and see if there is any difference in how much water comes out the spout while in the shower mode. If nothing has changed then the next step is to replace the diverter.

The diverter assembly part number is A603819

Danze control valves producing loud water hammer

It sounds like your flow diverter isn't closing properly. Try removing the flow restrictors from the shower nozzle and see if that helps.

Water leaking from tap when turned off

In order to remove the Danze handle from this particular model grasp the handle of the valve and then the body of the valve and turn the body counter clockwise in order to remove.

Hope this helps.

If you don't have a supply house near you that carries parts for the Danze products you can go to danze.com and order them there.

Shaking of the valve D500058BNT Parma Shower, not the pipes

The issue you have is known as water hammer per se. It is the result of water logged air chambers in instances such as yours. The easiest solution is to turn off the water supply to the house and drain the entire system from the lowest point available such as a hose bibb/water spigot. Turn off your electric water heater if applicable as lack of water will burn out the elements. Once this is done turn the water supply back on to the house and bleed the excess air out of each appliance by turning it on and running both hot and cold water until air dissipates. Another cause may be an inadequately secured plumbing system behind the shower itself. The piping should be secured to some cross member to prevent movement caused by water pressure. A special device is made in extreme circumstances and larger systems called a water hammer arrester which does the same job as an air chamber but uses different principles to accomplish the task. I hope this is of assistance to you and thanks for using Fix Ya. If I can be of further assistance please let me know.

Danze D500044 switch control arm loose, can't switch the water from shower head to bathtub, how to fit it ? Thanks

you may need to adjust the diverter cartridge on the valve to fix the switch control arm. Here are the steps to do so: Turn off the water supply to the faucet and open the valve to release any residual pressure. Remove the handle by loosening the set screw with an Allen wrench and pulling it off. Unscrew the bonnet nut and remove the diverter cartridge by pulling it out with pliers. Check the O-rings and seals for any damage or wear and replace them if necessary. Align the diverter cartridge with the valve body and push it in firmly until it snaps into place. Screw the bonnet nut back on and tighten it with a wrench. Reattach the handle and secure it with the set screw. Turn on the water supply and test the faucet for proper operation. I hope this helps you fix your faucet. If you need further assistance, please contact Danze customer service at 1-888-328-2383.

Danze faucet jerks

being a new faucet it does that because you still have air in the line. turn the faucet on and let it run for a while, if that doesn't work take it back and get a better quality faucet like a delta, because they make them so cheap that the seal could be loose inside.

On OpulenceTM SHOWER Trim Kit w/8incg Sunflower

Either this is a consequence of having a "low-flow" shower head, or the pipes are too small or have too many bends and elbows to support the flow rate required at 65 PSI for such a large shower head. What is the water pressure at the shower head fitting while the shower is running? It won't be 65 PSI, but it shouldn't be below the recommended inlet pressure for the unit.

We were trying to stop a leak in a danze songle handle shower faucet now the hot water won't turn off whar do we do?

you need a new cartridge if its fairly new. if its an older faucet it will have to be replaced, usually the hot water side warps the fixture and it leaks there nothing you can do about it except to replace it.

How danze shower lever which changes the water flow from the permanent shower head to the removeable freehand shower has fallen out. How can it be repaired?

Don't try to repair it. Replace it. All hand held showers use 1/2" hose fittings so any brand divertor should fit. Bring the part with you as there are different styles.
