PULL THE FRONT COVER OFF OF THE ICE MAKER AND CHECK THE PLASTIC GEAR ON THE FRONT OF THE CONTROL. THE CENTER OF THE GEAR HAS TWO PLASTIC TABS THAT HOLD THE GEAR IN PLACE. IF ONE OF THE TABS IS BROKEN OR MISSING, THE CONTROL OR THE WHOLE ICE MAKER NEED TO BE REPLACED.
CHECK THE ICEMAKER TO SEE IF THERE IS WATER OR ICE IN THE MOULD. IF NO WATER OR ICE, THE FILL TUBE IN THE BACK WALL MAY BE FROZEN OFF. REMOVE THE FILL TUBE AND CLEAR IT OF ANY OBSTRUCTION. YOU CAN ALSO USE A HAIR DRYER TO MELT OUT ANY ICE FROM THE FILL TUBE. THE OTHER POSSIBLITY IS A BAD WATER VALVE. THE WATER VALVE HAS TWO OUTPUTS, ONE FOR THE DISPENSER AND ANOTHER FOR THE ICE MAKER.

Walk in freezer solenoid not opening

Many Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators have an ice and water dispenser installed on the outside of the freezer door. The ice dispenser has a flap that opens to allow ice to be released, and closes after dispensing to keep the cold air inside of the freezer. The dispenser flap is opened and closed by a solenoid, that when energized pulls the plunger attached to the flap, opening the door. If the flap stops opening and closing, it is likely due to a faulty solenoid.

Refrigerator not dispensing water or ice

repairs should be performed by a qualified technician. if there isn't ice in the ice bucket located in the freezer you have a water flow problem. if there is water going to the filter and nothing out of the freezer then you have a clogged freezer replace it. if these things are ok then yes it could be the electronic control. filter failure is a common problem.

Ice maker is not working. Our freezer fridge side by side is about 8 yrs old...and now the ice maker is not making ice cubes. It is as if no water is getting to the machine. I have turned the...

Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

Ice maker icing up

Sounds like you may have a couple of problems here. The frost build up could be from a bad door seal. Moist air can be drawn in and collect on the inside. As for the water temp, it sounds like the water line connected to the refrigerator could be tapped off a hot water line. It needs to be connected to a potible cold water line.

Frigidaire won't make ice & dispenses only about 4 oz. cold water

Water frozen in the freezer supply line - you need to thaw out the freezer. About six hours, door open, turn freezer OFF. You'll need a cooler with dry ice for your frozen food. 99% certain it'll work after that.
