Microsd makes Sansa e280 screw up

I have a kingston 2gb microsd card and for the first two months it worked great but for the past two months practically every time I turn it on now it will get halfway through the loading process and start showing a scrolling screen of squiggly lines. Sometimes the lines are blue, sometimes green, occasionally grey. I end up having to hold the power button down for 15 seconds to shut it off and reboot it without the card in it to get it to boot up correctly. Sometimes I can put the card back in and it will refresh and show the music on the card but usually it does the scroll screen again. I have reformatted it several times and it even does it when there is nothing on the card at all. Anyone have any ideas or know where I can go to find an answer to this issue?
