Why does picture look slooped at top and rest of

I understand that you need to reset your hot water tank thermostat. Here are some instructions for you to follow with visual aids on what you are looking for and what you need to rest.

First you must locate the thermostat in order to rest it. There are usually two service panels on a hot water tank. The service panels look similar to the ones in the picture below.

Once you locate the service panel(s) you will need to remove the top on and locate the thermostat the reset should be in the top one. You will be looking for the button that is located in the middle of the thermostat. This button will need to be pushed down firmly. The rest button is often red however; it comes in many different colors, shapes and sizes.

If the thermostat rest automatically pops back up then you will need to replace the thermostat.
