It's in the menu somewhere but it's a pain to find when you have image inverted! It's one of the last menus and I seem to remember but as mine is knackered at the moment I can't turn it on and tell you exactly where sorry. I seem to remember it being in the menu relating to whether the projector is ceiling mounted or not if that helps
We have a Sanyo PLV-55whd1.
You have to pull the chassis out and it sits on top. Also there are 2 squirrel cage fans that cool the bulb, be sure to blow these out, especially the supply fan, its gets caked up really bad and then there no air to the bulb which makes the thermal switch trip. Theres also two other computer type fans a larger on which is out in the open on the right side and a smaller on on the left as viewed from the rear of the TV. The small one is burried, you will need to pull the tuner to get a good crack at it.
I cannot get my remote to work with my Sanyo
I would first try changing the batteries in the remote and verifying that batteries are in the right direction (+ and - terminals line up).
Once that is done, try pointing the remote right at the infrared sensor at the front of the projector...the black plastic circle on the front of the projector.

This is called "keystone adjustment". If you still have the owner's manual, it will describe how to do it. If you don't have the book, look on the button console on the projector, or on the remote for an icon that looks like a rectangle that is either narrow at the top or narrow at the bottom and press it. That will get you in the control. If there's no button, you will probably find it on the set up menu. It's pretty easy to do the adjustment, one way makes the image narrower at the top, the other makes it narrower at the bottom. Some older projectors just have a **** on the unit that changes the angle of one of the mirrors inside to accomplish the same thing. The reason for this adjustment is to compensate for the distortion of the image caused by a projector mounted near the ceiling and pointing down at the screen, or sitting near the floor and point up at the screen.

HI there
Check that your power cable is ok. Best way is by trying a differnt cable. If the problem still shows , you might have to open it up check if the fuse on the powersupply board is ok and then worst case cenario have the powersupply replaced.
Hope this is of help !
