There was and i defrosted it and its back to almost normal. Good advice! What about the water not dispensing anymore? Do you know what that could be from and how to fix it?

    I appreciate your help!

is there frost build up in the back if the freezer?

if so the defrost heater could be the issue. Also check for fan operation inside.

Sometimes when the air flow is restricted cold air migrates back into the bottom of the fresh food side and could freeze the dispenser resevoir which is behind the crisper drawers. Also, just defrosting the freezer is only treating the symptom. Something malfunctione to allow the frost to build up. Either the heater, defrost limiter or defrost timer.

GE Side By Side not cooling on refridgerator side.

Look on the back panel inside the freezer for ice beginning to show. Most times when this happens the fresh food section is the first to notice. Your refrigerator has a control board on the back. If not defrosting the air flow to the fresh food section is greatly reduced. Let me know, Sea Breeze

Refridgerator not cooling

I always look underneith the ice box to see if cobwebs and dust buildup is clogging the fins and condenser motor. Clean that up all nice and she might work a little better. Look for frost on the back of the freezer, that indicates a bad heater. Listen for the fan motor in the freezer section. If it quits the cold air cannot get into the fresh food section. Check the damper (if applicable) to see if it is opening and allowing cold air from the freezer to get to the fresh food compartment. Look for to many food items in the freezer section blocking the cold air. If she needed freon you would fell absolutely no heat on the conderser coils below the ice box. MORE

MY refrigerator is running but is not getting cold.

This has several issues you might need to look into.

First, your refridgerator you selected shows it is a front load washer. I know that can't be right.

Second. Your temp setting. It should be set in a manner that allows the humidity to exhaust out.

Third, Your refridgerator compressor is about to go out.

Fourth, you are placing alot of warm food into refridgerator, and holding the door open too long. This sometimes shuts the compressor off.

Also peer behind your refridgerator. Is there alot of debris, dirt, brooms, etc behind there. If so clear it out completely.

On the front of some refridgerators there is a grill that can be removed carefully. You will see cooling fins on the inside of this.

Very very gently remove the dirt and debris off of this. The fins bend very easily, so becareful.

At the same time check drip pan, and empty if needed.

If none of these things seem to do the trick, contact a service technician, something tells me it is your defrost sensor, or compressor.

Freezer works but refridgerator warm

you could find ice behind the back panel - worth a check. however the problem is probably ice in the return vent from fridge to freezer and the only way to cure is to switch off and leave for a day with doors open. if im right and you try this, if it re-occurs you may have a problem with the defrost system
