Dryer everything works, but no heat.

You didn't mention whether it was a gas or electric dryer, but either way it probably just isn't producing heat. If it's electric, it's most likely a defective heating element. If it's gas, the burner probably isn't igniting. On both there is usually some sort of thermal shut off switch that can also go bad and shut off the heat element or the burner.

Flame does not come on

When the burner does not activate, first you need to find out if the ignitor is trying to light the gas. If it isn't then you have to troubleshoot the ignition circuit. If the ignitor goes active but the burner does not light then most likely it is the thermocoupler that is not allowing the gas valve to open.

Clothes are real hot to the touch

sounds like you have a venting problem,, check for clogs or blockage in the vent pipe,, and also at the exit from the house to be sure the vent cover flows freely and isn't smashed down. check inside this vent to be sure the flap inside of it moves freely and isn't stuck,, Normally when clothes get hot to the touch its caused by the clothes heating up to dry and the moisture isn't allowed to be vented out

My gas maytag dryer has no heat

first check the thermal fuse for continuity in the dryer blower housing/vent,then check the high-limit and/or cycling thermostats and the radiant sensor(flame eye) on the burner tube of the unit, then check the ignitor in the burner tube housing and finally the boost and secondary gas valve solenoid coils on the gas valve body inside the unit near the front entry of burner tube

I have a Maytag dryer that has been moved several times and been in storage for about 7 years. We hooked it up yesterday and the ignitor won't come on. It is an older model LDG7500AAL from 1991. Where...

The ignitor on a gas dryer is very sensitive. rough handeling (moving) usually will dammage it. Clean the underside of the machine inside with a vaccum. Check if the ingitor is glowing when on and in a heat setting? if not replace. The burner has a flame sensor that looks like a small window in the burner housing be sure it is clean as well. CLEAN unit first then trouble shoot.

Dry comes on normally and progressivley gets cooler. Turn it off and after it sits for a while and I can start it again and it does the same thing over again.

After taking apart the whole dryer and checking the burner assembly i found no burned out or fouled out parts. I put the dryer back together and left the back panel off pluged it back up and started it up the burner came on for no more than 1 minute then went off. At that time I removed both thermostats from the burner housing but still attached to the wires and started it again it stayed on. So the answer is u need to change the thermostats. To check and make sure just pull off the back of the dryer an remove the thermostats from the burner housing then start this sill be tour answer and the piece is about 25.00 good luck an God bless.

No Heat on a whirlpool dryer. 14 years old.drum turns, timer moves, getting gas to valve, tapped solenoids-no change.burner not lighting. thanks for any info

if ignitor not coming on could be flame sensor mounted on side of burner housing or ignitor ..if ignitor glowing but burner no lighting replace both solenoids bad connections interally on solenoids..also if ignitor not glowing possible small white thermal fuse open.. sensor and fuse can be jumped across to confirm ..
