OFTEN you must re-sync the receiver with the transmitter in these units. Refer to the manual for startup sequence.

Can reset everything on my SkyScan Atomic Clock except for the outside temp. Have new batteries in both units. Main clock and outside remote thermostate..Any suggestions??

I expect that since the unit reads the outside temperature from the remote thermostat, there is no need to "reset" the displayed number since this data is obtained live from the thermostat.

I have eight atomic clocks, none of them have the outside temperature working, all have new batteries???

If your outside temperature is not showing on your clock, that may mean that the clock and the transmitter have lost their connection. To reconnect them you must first take the batteries out of both of the units for 15 minutes. First put the batteries back into the transmitter, and then the clock. Let them sit side by side inside your home. When both the indoor and outdoor temperatures show on your clock with the same reading, or within two degrees of each other, then you may put your transmitter back outside. Remember to keep the transmitter out of the direct sun in a dry place. Also keep it away from metal, which can affect the readings.

Outside temperature not working on Atomic Clock (was working last night). Changed the batteries in both the outside transmitter and the clock tonight. Clock reset within minutes, but the outside...

hello lucy... you most likely have some corrosion in the outdoor component. Remove the batteries from the outdoor component and clean the battery contacts with the eraser end of a common pencil. Reinstall the batteries and then give it up to 8 hours to start reporting accurately again. Joe

I put new batteries into both units, the indoor unit and outdoor unit, now it is not able to read the outdoor temperature. What needs to be done?

Sometimes the RF frequency from the outside transmitter loses contact with the clock's frequency ( it has happened to me only twice in 6 years ), and then the outside temp will not show. Simple solution to fix this is: Take down the outside transmitter and the internally mounted clock. Remove batteries from both. Wait about 10 mts. First install batteries in the transmitter, then after about 30 seconds, install batteries in the clock. In about 5 mts, you will find the clock showing the external temp like before.

My clock is nort showing up the outside tempertute

Seems to be a consistent problem with Skyscan. I have the 88800 model and my outdoor transmitter isn't transmitting the temperature either. We've replaced the batteries in both the transmitter and clock and nothing for outdoor temp. It's only been used for 9 months.

Also,

If you have lost the outside temperature on the clock display after replacing the transmitter battery then do the following:

1. Make sure you have good batteries installed in the remote transmitter
2. Remove the batteries from the main clock and keep them out until the clock display disappers.
3. Re-install the batteries in the clock.
4. Wait until the display returns and includes the outside temperature display as well.
5. Set the clock again for current time/date etc.
6. Bingo. You are in business.

Outside temperture

Try changing the batteries in the CLOCK. I had the same problem in a 3M similar clock and it didn't read the transmitter correctly or eventually, at all, when the CLOCK batteries were getting low.

Remote Sensor

make sure your time is set and the atomic clock time is recieved, then leaving the rear cover off of the transmitter, push the "tx" button not the "c/f" that is just for centegrade or ferenhight. you will see the red light on the front of reciever flash in a few seconds. The temp should display on your clock screen. If not, did the red l.e.d. light on transmitter flash. If not, its not sending data to clock. I have to reset and hit transmit every time I replace batteries on transmitter. Had no problems for over 2 years of using outside. If your not getting a reading with transmitter sitting next to clock after hitting "tx" button you may have defective transmitter.
