My Canon Pixma MP210 prints only red and blue while the yellow color tank is still full. I tried cleaning, no results. The yellow ink is coming out on the clothing when I clean but still no yellow on the paper when I print. On the test page there's a white instead of yellow. Help please!

Canon makes it ******* owners by using a small electronic chip on each cartridge that opens when it is taken out of the printer. Sometimes removing a cartridge will not open and when replaced in the print head, it works, but if the cartridge sensor fails to communicate with the printer, you would need a resetting device to bring the cartridge back to normal. Rather than become upset with the issue, it would be best to get a new cartridge from any reseller on the internet (not Canon) and go from there.

Well, first off, are the alignment, and nozzle check sheets looking good? If not, then work on that. If so, then we have a problem. Try creating a test sheet in Word. Make red, yellow blue & black text and see if anything else prints wrong. Get back to me!

Hi, I went local and found that to fix the problem would cost a lot to time and much money, so I bought the later model at half the price of my old one purchased one year and three weeks ago. Thank you for replying.

SOURCE: Canon PIXMA MP210 Problem:Orange Alarm light

Ok, the paper jam could be due to one of the following:

  • Check for paper in the paper tray
  • Check the size of the paper in the paper tray to see if it is the same as what the printer is set for.
  • Defective D-roller
  • Debris in the paper path
  • Gears not turning or broken gear
  • Defective paper tray
  • Broken input sensor flag
  • Defective input sensor board
  • Defective system cable
If there is no bit of paper or debris stuck in the rollers, it would indicate something more serious, and in need of servicing. If your machine is under warranty, I suggest you take it back to the shop and get it replaced.
If your warranty has run out, then you'll either have to get it serviced or buy a new printer (whichever works out cheaper for you)

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

Refilled pixma MP210 color cartridge. Now my printer will not print any color at all, only black

Maybe your printer cartridge that has been refilled got ink clogged. You can bring it to the store where you can let them clean it for you. It must be free for cleaning since it was refilled from them. Hope this help.

You can also clean your cartridge by following my instructions below:
BEFORE DOING BELOW INSTRUCTIONS,TRY TO CLEAN YOU CARTRIDGE FIRST USING THE DEEP CLEAN FEATURE OF YOUR PRINTER, THEN USE PRINT NOOZLE CHECK PATTERN.

1. Uninstall your cartridge.
2. Get a tissue paper.
3. Try to put the printer head over a small piece of tissue paper.

If you will see the three colors in the tissue(Cyan-close to blue, Magenta-close to red, and Yellow). It means it was not clogged, the problem is the chip of your color cartridge and needs to be replaced. But if the colors are blur and or nothing appears, it means the printhead of your cartridge is clog. You can proceed to step 4.

4. Try to put a little amount of water in a small piece of tissue paper and soak the printer head for a 2 min. Then remove it after.
5. Wipe the printer head with a dry tissue paper.
6. Reinstall the cartridge back to the printer.
7. Print a 4 basic colors, RED, BLUE, YELLOW and BLACK.
8. Clean the printer using the cleaning feature of your printer.
9. You can use deep cleaning twice. And Print a noozle print.
10. Hope it could help.

My Canon MP210 prints yellow instead of red, even with a brand new cartridge. How do I fix the colour printing?

The problem could be in the printer head contacts, even if the printer driver should have signaled it. Anyway, try pulling out the color cartridge and cleaning the contacts on the printer with a lint-free swab cloth and circuit cleaner (in a pinch, alcohol should do; it's unlikely there's greasy dirt or heavy oxidising, it's probably some ink or hand grease), then put back the cartridge.

Another thing to check, even if it's unlikely, is that you don't have by chance a strange Color Profile management set up in the Control Panel or in the Printer Properties.

Pictures coming out green

On a picture that you have printed, when you see an area of green, what color should it be? You probably have reduced flow of one of the "balancing" colors. Blue, Yellow and Red add up to Black. If your picture is supposed to be almost black and you don't have enough red, the color will pull toward the blue and yellow, giving it a green tint.

My canon pixma 4000 lide won't print yellow, even with a new tank

I doubt your printer needs recalibrated. If one color is not printing, check the following :

1. Is the suspect ink tank snapped firmly into place?
2. Did you remove the sealing paper pull tab completely off of the tiny air hole on the cartridge? I've had this happen and found the paper or a small part of it to be still in place which prevented the cartridge from working.
3. Try using the maintenance tab on "control panel" "Printers" "properties" and do a cleaning of the print nozzles. Do a "Print test pattern" procedure to see how your progress is working out.
4. If all fails, try another yellow cartridge. It may be defective

Prints all yellow, with some blue and black, no brown

the problem is very simple the magenta ink the cartridge is over or the head is been blocked from where the magenta ink comes out,
because red colour requires ---yellow plus magenta(pink)----to make it red.and ----dark yellow plus magenta(pink) -------- for brown colour.
