Reboot the System
Right-Click 'My Computer' icon.

How do i download a soundmax driver from my pc onto mass storage device, then upload the driver onto my acer aspire kav10 which doesnt have internet connection?

Download the audio driver onto your PC that has an Internet connection and then copy the audio driver onto an USB memory stick. You can then insert this USB memory into your Acer and click on the audio driver to install it onto your Acer.
Download the audio and device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require that matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -

I installed a new window in my computer but i lost the sound.it says that i lack an audio device

You need to install the audio driver for your computer mainboard. The audio driver can either be found on the CD disk that came with your computer mainboard or on the internet. To find it on the internet one would search the internet with the name and model number of your computer mainboard followed by the word Audio. The name and model number can be found written on the mainboard, between the PCI, VGA, PCI-Express slots.

You may want to post the make and model number below as a comment to this solution and I will find the audio drivers for you.
Hope this puts your mind at rest!

All the best!

I installed windows XP on my desktop and when i was about to play a music, it displayed no audio device. Can you help me in my problem? I am not familiar with this desktop. Any help is appreciated.

You need to install the motherboard's device drivers after installing Windows XP. If the audio card is built-in on the motherboard then you need to doenload the audio driver from the motherboard manufacturer's WEB site.
If the audio card is installed on the PCI expansion slot the you need to download the audio driver from the audio card manufacturer's WEB site.
If your computer isn't connected to the Internet then you need to download the drivers from a computer that has Internet connection and then copy these files to a flash memory stick and install them on your computer.
The other way to upgrade is to install a driver upgrade program, but this will only work if your computer has Internet connection is up and running. Try these WE sites :-

I need to load the drivers for the audio and video on my Sager D270s. It's a windows xp and the pnp for the video and audio are below Multimedia Audio Controller PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_7012&SUBSYS...

Connect the system the internet, click your start menu, scroll to control panel and click it. From your control panel, double click system icon, when it opens, click hardware and thereafter, click device manager.

You would see a list of your hardware, scroll to audio, right click on it and press drivers update. The audio driver will automatically be installed from the internet. The same applies to the VGA.

Make sure the internet connection is strong enough to download the drivers, it might not download if internet speed is slow.

Best wishes.

Have an acer aspire sa80, formatted hard drive, no missing : Multimedia Audio Controller Video Controller (VGA Compatible) USB Controller drivers. I use a dongle to access wireless internet, and as usb not...

Hi,
You need drivers for your system.
All the official acer drivers for your system are here :-

http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/desktop/power_s260.html#driver

As listed at the site:-

Realtek Audio Driver is your Multimedia Audio Controller.
NVIDIA VGA Driver should be your Video Controller, if that don't work try SIS VGA Driver.

SiS 661 chipset driver should fix your usb problem, if it dosn't update windows to SP2.
Get that from here: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/. Then try again with SiS 661 Chipset Driver.

You should also install the rest of the drivers for your aspire sa80.

You said you had no access to internet so burn the drivers using a friends computer (one with internet) and install from the disc and you should be fine.

Needing Solution

First check to see that volume is up =).

If you have the internet on the computer:
If that's not the problem, uninstall and reinstall your audio driver. When you reinstall, let windows search the internet for it when the option comes up. Select "yes, this time only."

To uninstall your driver, go to your control panel, double click system, select the "hardware tab," click "device manager," find the "audio" or "sound..."(it has the megaphone picture next to it), expand the tree(click the plus sign), right click the icon with the yellow question mark, select uninstall.

To install your driver, Follow the steps until "select uninstall." Instead, select install. That's when you'll want to let windows find the driver for your on the internet.

If you don't have the internet on the computer:
Uninstall the driver like above on the computer.
Go to the manufacturer of the audio card's website and look for drivers or google "(company's name) audio drivers," download it to a USB stick or disc, and copy it to your computer.
