EVO n600C NOTEBOOK battery not charging.

I have purchased a used Evo N600c notebook from Ebay. It works perfectly on power but the battery was completely dead so I bought a new one. It showed 100% charge. I put it in the notebook and used it on battery power till it registered low charge. I switched of leaving the power plugged in overnight. The battery did not charge and the charge light did not come on. Help!!, I am an amateur pensioner.

I accidently connected a 28volt charger to my evo

if the battery charger powers the computer, then i would imagine the motherboard is fine...

there should be some kind of fuse insode the battery to prevent things like this from causing them to explode.

Replace the battery

Time and date wont store

A battery would fix this but it is the battery on the motherboard that you need. How old is this computer?

Evo N600c Battery Discharge Order Wrong

Try this,

Click start/control panel/power options.
(In control panel, you may have to change to classic view to see power options)

You should see the batteries listed.
You should now be able to click on each one and adjust the settings and advance settings to whatever you like.

Battery wont work

The battery is dead and it won't charge or hold its charge (all rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles). You need to buy a new battery, or just use the laptop connected to the mains supply.
