You probably have not adjusted you stitch width and length.
Also a manual for this machine is currently being sold on Ebay for $4+. Probably would be a good investment for you.

Huskystar 207 Sewing Machine stuck on zig zag stitch

If your Huskystar 207 sewing machine is stuck on zigzag stitch even when you have selected a straight stitch pattern, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the needle position: Make sure that the needle is in the center position. If it is not, you may need to adjust it using the machine's settings.
  2. Check the stitch length and width: Make sure that the stitch length and width are set to the appropriate settings for a straight stitch. Refer to your manual for the correct settings.
  3. Check the tension: If the tension is too loose or too tight, it can cause the machine to sew a zigzag stitch instead of a straight stitch. Make sure the tension is set correctly for the fabric you are working with.
  4. Clean the machine: Sometimes, a buildup of dust and lint can cause the machine to malfunction. Try cleaning the machine, particularly the bobbin case and feed dogs, to see if this resolves the issue.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your machine to a professional for repair.

Brother XL-3200 only sews a straight stitch.

Te 'handwheel' is the top knob on the right.
The 'Pattern Selector Dial' is below it.

If you are using that dial and it isn't changing the stich, it must have become disconnected inside.

I need to know the stitch length and with for straight stitch

Difficult to provide an answer without knowing more about what you are sewing. The settings will change depending on what you are sewing and how you want the stitch to appear. For a straight stitch, the stitch width would always be zero. The stitch length is generally set somewhere between 12 to 15 stitches per inch, but again, that is determined by what you are sewing and the amount of stress the fabric will need to withstand..

You might try searching for:

Help please. How to adjust presser foot. Where to chg stitch length

Please provide the make and model of your machine. There is generally no adjustment to the presser foot for selecting a straight stitch. You just need to use the specific presser foot that the owner's manual recommends for a straight stitch. The adjustment is made to the stitch length and stitch width selectors. But, since we don't know which machine you have, we can't help.

I put the stitch in center of dial but it still does straight.what is wrong

If you want a zig-zag stitch, you need to set the stitch WIDTH selector to a higher number. Sounds like you may be changing the stitch Length selector which simply makes a longer straight stitch.

Tension wheel does not spin but acts as if it is jammed and will not move please help Margaret

That is actually a stitch width dial. The design shows a zig-zag stitch gradually changing to a straight stitch.

If it is truly just spinning and not changing the stitch width, it has probably become disconnected somewhere. Should take it for service.

Cannot get my 332 to do straight stitch

First, clean and oil according to the manual. Be sure to look for small threads and lint that might be stuck between parts. If that doesn't work, try changing the needle (although it shouldn't sew at all if it's a needle issue). If none of that works, It probably needs an adjustment. You will have to take it to an expert.

I have an elnita 255 and bought it brand new way back when...the problem I have is I can not get this machine to do a baste stitch. since I bought the machine new it has never done basting. Even when I...

The straight stitches can be shortened and lengthened utilizing the length selector. If you are attempting to do this with zigzag the stitch will be the same distance but the fabric will appear as if the material hardly moves. This will be changed by using a wide stitch. If you can't truly get a different stitch length on the straight stitch you may need the feed dog adjusted by a pro so that it will give you a longer stitch.

How do I change the stiches?

You can do all of these stitches by using different combinations of your stitch selector, stitch width and stitch feed knobs, for instance, on the panel I can see on your machine:

http://www.jo-ann.com/joann/product/images/52659.jsp?CATID=cat3122&PRODID=prd11333

Stitches 1, 2 & 3 are straight stitches, centered, left and right. Really basic stuff, not different stitches at all. 4,5,6,7 & 8 are zig-zag stitches of different widths. 9 is the widest zig-zag (no. 8) on a finer stitch length, etc...

I think you should try and get an instruction manual for your machine. After a lengthy search of my usual manual sources, I've determined that that this may not be so easy. I think you should contact White on their 800 number and let them try and help you... 1-800-331-3164.
