Yesterday it was sounding very loud during the spin cyle and it left my towlers at the bottom very wet. Today it wont spin out. I tried unpluggin it and starting it again. Tried spin cyle only..it starts to go and then when it would take off fast, it kicks off.
Are the clothes out of balance? sometimes it can take quite a few trys to rebalance the load. if that is the case, it probably could use new drum springs.

All Kenmores are the bottom of the line appliances. If under warranty, call Sears. Your machine has problems. May be on it's last legs. None of these sounds are 'normal'. Motors wearing out, likely.
hi, it sounds like one of two possibilties, will try and help out. The first thing to check is whether the water/drain pump is actually working fine, i think it blocked. Secondly the pump may also be overheating and malfunctioning during the cyle, run it without clothes and check the flow of the drain during the drain/spin cycle and take it from there.
If it is a front loader, then remove the rear panel, remove the belt, and soin drum by hand, if it feels rough, or is noisy and rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed.
This is a major repair.
YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK YOUR PUMP CLEAN OUT.REMOVE THE LOWER PANNEL 3 SCREWS UNDER THE BOTTOM PANNEL UNPLUG THE MACHINE AND LOOK FOR THE ROUND CLEANOUT ABOUT CENTER. THIS UNSCREWS AND PULLS OUT.REMEMBER YOU HAVE WATER IN THE MACHINE THAT WILL COME OUT WHEN YOU DO SO YOU NEED TO USE A WET VAC TO EITHER REMOVE WATER THROUGH THE D-HOSE OR MOVE THE MACHINE OVER A DRAIN. IF YOU HAVE A WET VAC YOU CAN USE IT TO CLEAN OUT THE PUMP WHEN YOU REMOVE THE CLEAN OUT BASKET.
There are two speed (or three) on most washer motors and what happens is that a motor speed will stop functioning--it will wash the clothes, but the high speed will not function. This also could be the controller, but more likely it is centered at the motor. It the motor is functioning, it coulfd be in the transmission of the machine--which may be the problenm since you heard a loud noise. I am not familiar with your machine, there could be an electronic switch for the transmission to go into high speed as well that has gone bad. I wish I had more direct knowledge of your machine.
