Singer 4562 t bobbin case won't fit properly, what am I doing wro

I have a Singer 4562 t sewing machine, the bobbin case broke, I purchased a new one but cannot get it to install correctly. What holds the bobbin case in and should it be tight when installed? It seems to be so tight the housing underneath does not move properly. Could there be something else wrong besides the bobbin case?

Make sure the bobbin case sets sort of on top and not under the ridge of the metal ring. There is a small latch on the upper left of the bobbin case. It is metal. rotate the latch to cover the bobbin case and this should stabilize the case without making it immobile

Make sure that you buy Singer Brand Bobbins. The generic brands will not work on my Singer, but they will work on my Brother. The top of the Singer Bobbins is slightly curved and the Brother bobbins are flat.

I am having a difficult time finding pressure feet for my Singer 4562 such as button hole, button sewing, embroidery, walking foot, quilting foot, etc.

You should be able to find presser feet for your machine as long as you know what type of shank your machine takes. Just confirm that whatever you choose will fit a Singer model 4562. You can even purchase a snap-on shank adapter and then purchase snap-on feet for your machine.

Bobbin won't spin to allow needle to catch thread

sometimes when you break a needle it can cause the machine to
jump time, the machine would have to be taken to a sewing machine
shop to be checked by the technican

My bobbin on my Singer 4562 keeps bunching up the threads, can you help?

If you have the black bobbin case you must make sure you use only a good mercerised thread, there should be enough gap between the edge of the bobbin case and the silver adjuster to allow the thread to pass through, if there is not then you must slacken off the two screws and move it over a fraction.

I have a Singer model 4562 T sewing machine, and threading the bobbin, the bobbin case just kind of popped out. I've tried just sliding it back in, but no matter which way I put it in it doesn't seem to...

The bobbin case is designed to be removed for cleaning. Take off the needle plate if it is still on the sewing machine. Make sure that the needle and presser foot are fully up. Guide the forked end of the bobbin case under the feed (more or less centered). Then pull the bobbin case under the rim of the position plate. Pull on the side opposite the forked end of the bobbin case. With a small screw driver, turn the lever (at about 10 o'clock on a 12-hour analog clock) towards you. This will lock the bobbin case into place. Make sure that the bobbin case isn't locked too tightly. It still needs to move slightly as the bobbin turns and the needle comes through that plate.

Replace the needle plate and lock it down. Then insert the bobbin and close the slide plate. The manual shows the procedure to remove and replace the bobbin case on the 4562 on page 39. Singer has the manual on the support page: http://www.singerco.com/support/instruction-manuals . The direct link to the manual is http://www.singerco.com/uploads/download/435_5_8_10_16_22_dial.pdf .

I hope this helps.

(I hope that the locking lever hasn't broken. That may require a service person to solve the problem. I'm not entirely sure where that lever is connected to the machine. Some Singer part diagrams are here: http://www.singerco.com/support/replacement-parts-chart . The 4562 may use the same diagram as the 4572, http://parts.singerco.com/CPpartCharts/4_4999/4572.pdf .)
