Singer 7442 Mechanical Sewing Machine Questions & Answers
Why does my self oil singer industrial 491 machine drip oil on the floor
Problem with sump or with sump screw? Or overly full?
I'm currently refubishing a Singer 491. To understand what sump and sump screw are, check out the YouTube channel of becauseimcrafty for their instruction on changing the oil. This demonstrates the large oli pan of a Singer industrial machine that is similar to yours as far as the oil "pan" or "sump" goes. TItle of their video is <<Industrial Sewing Machine l Changing the OIL>>.

I have a singer futura
Most likely the needle threader is out of normal position. The threaders are pretty delicate mechanisms and can be bent easily.
Singer 7442 the bobbin casing keeps popping out of position. how do it fix it?
When that happens, it is generally because it was not inserted correctly, and that's easy enough to do. Another possibility is the thread is not threaded properly
First, go to the Singer site and download your machine's manual -- it's free. A bobbin case has a flat part that goes under the needle. On the right side towards the bottom, it has a tab that sticks out that must rest against a spring, and prevents the case from spinning -- it must be stationary when sewing. When inserting a bobbin case, I find it helpful to put it down slightly to the right, then twist it so the flat part is under the needle, and the tab is resting against the spring. Also, verify that the case is even on all sides -- it's quite possible to insert it so that it's not resting flat in the basket (holds the case). You have to look closely to see it, though. There's drawings of it in your manual.
Singer 4562 t bobbin case won't fit properly, what am I doing wro
Make sure the bobbin case sets sort of on top and not under the ridge of the metal ring. There is a small latch on the upper left of the bobbin case. It is metal. rotate the latch to cover the bobbin case and this should stabilize the case without making it immobile
The thread bunches up under
Soulds like you did not get the upper thread in the tension unit when you threaded it. Try this, thread your machine all the way to the needle but not in the needle eye. After you do this lift the presser foot up and down, you should have tension with the presser foot down and no tension when it is up. If this is not the case your machine is out if adjusment.
Hope this helps
Cleaning my 7444 Singer
I recommend a Maintenance; they clean and oil and look for things that are worn and about to jam.
I have a Singer Model 9022 sewing machine. The
Kent581 is correct. On my machine the metal part the bobbin case needed to be under could pivot. It had turned so that when I put it in like normal the case wasn't under anything. I simply had to turn it back and everything was good to go!
