How to quick fix you microwave touch panel. This worked for me and saved me $150 for replacement part ...
Unfortunately it appears none of these parts are avail anymore. The physical buttons, key panel assy, touch pad support are no longer available. The smart board (WB27X5239) seems to floating around, but this does not appear to contain either of the 2 buttons or switches as part of it's assembly. Pleazer Appliance..
I don't know of anyway to repair the keypad. Usually replacement (of the keypad/control console) is the only option. But you might want to remove the ribbon cable that connects the keypad to the control board behind it, clean it with a degreaser (like Fantastic or 409), dry it, and re-insert it, and then try again. (Remember to unplug the microwave oven first before you try that!)
Sounds like the pads that you push on the touch panel are stuck, will probably have to replace the whole touch panel. On units installed over the oven, they typically plug into an outlet in the cabinet above the microwave. if not, try flipping your circuit breakers until you find the one that shuts off the Microwave.
