Error 6000 gets displayed when there is a paper jam or other general malfunction. When the message "6000 Printer error has occurred. Turn off the printer
then back on again. If the problem persists, see the manual." Is
displayed, something may block the paper feed tray from opening.
If the printer is surrounded with documents or when you copy
large documents such as books, make sure that you secure the clear space
in front of the tray before printing / copying. When the error message
above is displayed and if you find something is in front of the tray,
remove it. Then, turn OFF the printer and back ON again and the printer
will be ready for printing.
If you still have the trouble, contact the repair service. Check the printer for any paper jam or try to reset the printer to release memory code errors.
1. Press and hold the Resume button for 1 - 2 minutes.
2. Open the cover.
3. Remove the cartridge and then reinstall it.
4. Close the cover.
5. Turn Off the printer.
6. Turn On the printer.
Error C6000 means Broken fixing heater wire. In fixing warm-up, the time to reach 50°C/122 °F exceeds 13.5 s, the time to reach 100°C/212 °F exceeds 10 s, the time to reach the primary stabilization exceeds 10 s or the time to reach the secondary stabilization exceeds 24 s. To resolve this try this reset procedure-- Turn off the copier by opening the top toner cover. Turn copier on, when you see message "close top cover" press "system menu" button. Scroll up to "service setting" then press the # button, green "start" button and the "enter" button all at the same time. Now scroll down to "maint mode", press "enter" then enter 163 press" enter " turn off copier then turn back on. If this doesn't resolve your issue then you'll need to check whether heater M or S is installed correctly. If it is installed correctly then make sure that the heater M or S wire is not broken. Hope this helps...
1650 machine is a medium size machine for small offices and home users. The machine is equipped with a self diagnostic function so it displays an error code whenever its processor detects a problem during copy process. Some codes can be reset by simply opening and closing the front door or by turning the machin on and off, but there are some others that can be reset only by a service representative. C 6000 code is one of them. There are several causes that lead to this problem, i;e: 1. Unstable power source 2. Low volatage 3. Broken thermisted wire 4. Poor contact in the thermister connector terminals. 5. Heater lamps are broken or not installed correctly. Here is the process to reset c 6000. Enter 1087-1087 (1087 twice) from the keypad. U000 will be displayed. Enter 163 by using the keypad keys. Press "Start" (the green button) twice. The code will be reset and machine will start automatically. If this code is appeared again, you may need to check the fusing section of the machine and it shoud be done only by a service engineer.
the c6000 error may be resettable.
the password will be 3200 or 6482. once inside you need to be in copy mode and do the following
punch into the keybord 1087 1087 once you see 000 on the screen punch in 163 and hit the green button you will then see the reset sequence, follow this and it should work. please report if this works
In some cases you can reset the C 6000 - when is a false error.
try this:
1. Go to Menu/System and browse till you see
"Service".
press and hold: # START ENTER
The "Service" will go away and browse to "Maintenance".
2. Press ENTER to go in maintenace mode - the display change to Maintenance mode.
3. browse to 0163 and press ENTER - reset fuser
4. pick EXECUTE and press ENTER
5. turn the copier OFF, wait 20 seconds and power up the machine.
If C 6000 goes away it was a false error if NO ...try again and if the C6000 persist means the thermal fuse it is blown so you have to replace the fuse = call for service.
Your problem is heat related, or the lack of heating at least. one of 2 things went wrong here... either the fuser unit overheated causing the thermal fuse (aka the thermostat) to blow, or the heating lamp in the fuser unit is blown. Basically the 6000 code is displayed when your machine fails to reach the correct temparature at a specific time. Unfortunately you will have to call a service person to check which to of the mentioned components are at fault and to replace that component for you. After replacing, the component the code will still be displayed as a safety measure, so the service representative will need to clear the code via the machine's service mode
