My printer will not print...it's saying it's not installed but showing that it is...has worked fine for a year or so but now won't print...I have unistalled and reinstalled the software but it's still the same

Have you tried the printers on another PC?Please do.

• Whats the Operating System on your PC?Do the printer drivers correspond with that Operating System?If not,download the corresponding drivers from this dell support site. This you select under compatibility.
  
• After uninstalling the printer,disconnect fully and unplug from power.Reboot your PC before installing the printer again.

Any error messages on the printer digital screen or the desktop? I take it the "The ink is fine" means that there is ink in the cartridges!

Try a test print via the Control Panel> Printers and Faxes> properties > Print test page.

I have an HP Photsmart C4100 printer. I purchased remanufactured ink cartridges (both black and tri-colored) from Vivasmart. The black one works fine, but when I installed the tri-color, I got an error message that says "Print cartridge problem" The following print cartridge has a problem:
Tri-color. And I can't print. The screen on my printer says "Remove and check color cartridge." I have done this several times and it still won't print. I have turned off the power, removed the cartridges, and unplugged the unit, but it still didn't help. Any suggestions?

did you remember to pull the tape off the print head before you installed the new cartridge?

Maybe, you downloaded a wrong driver or installer for printer, you have Lexmark X2500 right? maybe the driver is not compatible for the current operating system try to download the correct OS flatform. and try tor re-install the current driver.

I have this printer with the same problem , worked fine for 1 year, printed over 1600 pages total ( according to the built in HP program that records how many pages I printed and how many times I used the printer) then it stopped printing. The ink cartridges are new, the software is fine, and it says ink levels are good. It physically goes through the motions of printing, loads the paper, makes all the normal sounds it used to and pushes out the paper when it's done - but the page is blank. I did some surfing and read some info that some HP printers are pre-programmed to stop certain functions so you buy a new printer. I know that might sound crazy. How long have you had the printer and how many pages do you think you printed?
