Make sure the correct needle is properly installed. then remove bobbin and rethread it. Reinstall. Work? Good. If not, make sure carriage is correctly installed and the timing is right. The hook should pick up the needle thread about 5 degrees from the needle down point. I recently repaired a machine where the bobbin gear had a set screw that had loosened. this will be under or behind the bobbin, depending on model. Good luck!
try rethreading the machine top and bobbin--make sure to use every thread guide try changing the needle--make sure the needle is turned the right way and inserted correctly into the needle holder make sure the bobbin is turned the right way in the bobbin case and if the machine still will not pick up the bobbin thread it would be a good idea to have the machine checked to see if the timing is ok.
here is a link for a free manual just incase you don't have one
is the needle the right one for the machine? is the needle & thread correct for the fabric? it's possible that the machine is out of time & would have to be retimed by a sewing machine shop
