How do I change the voltage from 115 volts to 230 volts on a duel voltage motor?

When you open motor you will find schematics on inside of housing.Sometimes its just a switch you push from one side to another.

Need wiring diagram for 230 v for delta table saw cat. #36-451

Is the motor designed for dual voltages? The manual does not have a wiring diagram. I assume the motor lable diagram is faded or missing.

Dual voltage motors contain two sets of winding. Each set is rated for the lower voltage. To operate the motor on the higher voltage the windings must be connected in series. AND, they must be connected in the same direction. I use a variac to apply 30-40 VAC to the coils in various combinations, then measure the open lead voltage to determine the proper connections. This test should be performed by a licensed electrician.

Powermatic 66 wiring problem

Simple solution: switch two of the wires. Doing so will reverse the direction of the motor. You can switch it at the motor or on the electrical plug end.

I need a wire diagram for a high voltage Baldor motor CAT # 054180 79151 connect to 440VAC it's a 40HP, RPM 3525 , 3PH and it's SPEC# 40F97Z22 please help

Normal wiring for this type of 9 lead motor to 440VAC is
Connect #4 to #7 Connect #5 to #8 Connect #6 to #9
Connect supply phase A to #1 Connect supply phase B to #2 Connect supply phase C to #3
Can you confirm the CAT and SPEC numbers? They do not show up on the Baldor site. If they are correct as listed, you need to call the Baldor help line and find out if this is a special motor.

My target wet saw, on top of the motor has a part in it that overheats due to getting wet, there are two wires soldered. one labeled E, going to the motor,it seems to be an overload device possibly? I was...

We are currently experiencing a problem with the target TA10100 wet saw. It will start up and immediately shutdown. The local authorized tool repair said that the part encased on the top of the Baldor motor is called a capacitor. we have yet to find out if this is the cause of the problem. Hope the information helps you because so far it hasn't helped us.

How to wire a 3 phace 5 hp baldor motor

the neutral or white is not used. if the fourth wire is a ground then it goes to the motor frame. if it is a dual voltage motor then here is the wiring: for 240 volt 3 phase connect 4-5-6 together and tape, 3-9 goes on L1, 2-8 together goes on L2, 1-7 together goes on L3. To reverse direction swap any two line wires. For 480 volts 3 phase: L1 goes on T1, L2 goes on T2, L3 goes on T3. Connect together T6-T9 and tape, connect T5-T8 and tape, connect T4-T7 and tape. again to reverse direction swap two line wires.
