Sony Color Rear Video Projector KP-57WS520. I cannot locate any online repair manuals for this model. I'm in a situation that I need to repair the TV myself. I just need to know what part I need and where to purchase this part. It is a Code 5 according to the "Standby Lite". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, surprizingly, I have gotten picture to come on, but if I shut it down. No picture for a long time period. I have tried different outlets, took it apart to check for bad connections and cleaning. Nothing.
Hi,
5 times blinks shows incorrect white balance (AKB) error. TV needs Screen Volts (G2) adjustment.
Take off lower front panel, find Focus Block that has 6 control knobs, adjust Screen volts of each CRT (red-green-blue) and problem will be solved.
Be Careful while working in TV.

Welcomejee, I am in a same boat. I had a defective D-Borad which I have recently replaced. After 3 weeks an error has developed. THe red light now blink 5 times or sometimes 10 times. Reading several posts I decided to send G-Borad to Sony for overhaul. Sony returned th part stating that it has no issues. Any insights please advise. I have KP-57WS520 model. Thanks!
