How to replace the WASH CYCLE SELECTOR KNOB - on an Ariston AV 105 Washing Machine

Replacing the wash cycle selector knob on an Ariston AV 105 washing machine can be done with the following steps:
  1. Turn off the washing machine and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Locate the wash cycle selector knob on the control panel of the washing machine.
  3. Remove the old wash cycle selector knob by pulling it straight off the control panel.
  4. Inspect the knob shaft to ensure that it is not damaged or worn. If the shaft is damaged, it may need to be replaced before installing the new knob.
  5. Align the new wash cycle selector knob onto the knob shaft, ensuring that it is fully seated.
  6. Push the new knob firmly onto the knob shaft until it clicks into place.
  7. Test the new wash cycle selector knob by turning it to different wash cycle settings to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
  8. Once you are satisfied that the new knob is working properly, plug the washing machine back into the power source and turn it on.
If you do not have a replacement knob, you can contact Ariston or a local appliance parts supplier to obtain the correct part. Make sure to have the model number and serial number of your washing machine on hand when ordering a replacement knob to ensure that you receive the correct part.

True T-49 refrigerator/freezer temperature calibration

Contact the manufacture, it is most likely going to be covered under warranty. If the knob is not removable, (check for a set screw on the side of the knob it will take a small allen wrench) Then the thermostat (temp controller) will need to be replaced, if it isn't a style that you can calibrate.

Hello,
The knob is the image of this link http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Knob-Dial-or-Button/5304441580/1063188 is pretty typical of all westinghouse knobs, that one shown is for westinghouse and perhaps can give you a good idea of the temp. set based on how far you turn it

Temperature markings worn off not sure of temp settings

Place a shallow tray of water (1/2") in the oven. Turn temp knob to coolest setting and wait for the temp to stabilize. Turn up temp by 1/16 turn and wait for temp to stabilize. Keep repeating until water boils. This is 212F (100C). mark the knob with a Sharpy ("210"). Put a small (2" x 2") piece of newspaper in the oven. Repeat as above. When it starts charring, this is 450F. Mark this temp. Now measure and divide the arc between the two points. Put 12 hash marks between them and label 20 degrees per hash. Good luck

Rheem 21V40-38 Gas - pilot light is on but when i turn knob to hot it does not do anything

Is the pilot knob turned to the "On" position? If the knob and temp dial are set in the correct position, you may have a recalled wtr htr which requires a retrofit "reset" button that needs to be installed. Call the manufacturer;s phone # that's printed on the side of the water heater and give them the model # and serial # and find out.

My son just bought a used Caloric self-cleaning gas range and the oven knob is high, med, and low. How does he know what the temp. is for setting the oven for baking?

Hi, It is the wrong knob. Do all the burner knobs look the same?
The oven knob has to have #'s on it so you know what hte temp is.
Please get me a model # and I can get you the part # for the knob you need.

Incorrect temperature

under the oven knob is the screw that adjusts the temp. remove the knob and with a small blade screwdriver adjust the temp according to your wife's oven thermometer CW+hotter CCW=cooler
then on the back of the knob is a screw to adjust the position of the knob with respect to the marker

Removal of the washer control knob

Anyway the model I got on your problem says it is a Refrigerator...but I can help you to remove the Knob on a washer....first you may have to place a flat head screwdriver in between the knob base and the control panel ..(You may want to place a piece of cloth against the control panel to prevent scratching the surface of same)..slowly force the screwdriver further under the knob alternating form side to side gently lifting up as you do.....(all of this is is premised on the the notion that there is no set screw in view anywhere on the knob)....also most all washer knobs are held in place on the shaft with a little spring loaded retainer that pushes out against the inside of the knob so it does not easily come off.

Hope this helps...please rate me...the Fang
