We have a front-loading LG washer. Today, I took a look at it when it was beginning the spin cycle because it sounded a bit different. I noticed that it was beginning to spin and would stop because [I believe] it was detecting a strong off-balance. It would then try to spin in the opposite direction and the same happened. After two more attempts, it automatically shut off with no warning nor error. We set the washer to wash and spin again and I began to work on balancing it. After adjusting the feet and waiting for the spin cycle again, it continued successfully because of the reduced off-balance. I'm not sure if there are other reasons that would cause the washer to turn off. This is the only one I have come across so far.

Kenmore HE3 2plus wont finish cycle

I'm not saying you don't have a problem. But just to be clear. You do understand that the last minutes on these machines can vary. The machine senses certain conditions in clothing, water discharge, etc. So sometimes the "1 min left" indication can stretch into many minutes. In theory, at least, it's possible your machine just needs to be left alone until it finishes whatever it's doing. However, one would think that any issues not resolved in 10 - 20 min are an indication of a problem. So i guess that's my next question, did you wait long enough? Keep in mind i am not a kenmore expert.
