Need to know the exact value of capacitor about msi 848p neo2-v .the capacitor beside processor b'coz i want to replace it since the motherboard is not my hand. somebody know the pls tell me.. th

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/848P%20Neo2-V.html#/?div=Manual

The value is printed in on the capasitors.
You can unsolder them but, mark the location where it goes
and remember plus and minus.
This will probably cost the same, as a new mainboard to renew them all.

A electronic repair shop, can order the capasitors for you.

A brand new mainboard, is sold today for around 100 dollars, in a online shop.
Your mainboard has socket lga775, so you don`t need to buy a new cpu, but you probably have to buy a new windows, and ram modules as well.

Good luck

848P-A7 motherboard will not boot. Had for years

This motherboard came out about the time when the bad cap's started being put in boards in China. You might want to look a some of the caps.
on the motherboard to see if any of them look bad. A lot of the motherboards I replace have had them . This is one of the symptoms of a bad cap. You might want to check out Bad caps.net for more on this.
I don't know how familar you are with electronics but in case you need to know a cap is the thing on the board that looks like a tin can. If you see any brown stuff comming out of the top or bottom ,or if the top looks puffed up that cap is bad,and you have just found your problem. The motherboard can be repaired or replaced.

Lacie ED mini v2 won't start up.

I had the same problem twice, but it was the power adapters each time that were causing the problem. It wasn't the unit itself. Lacie replaced the power adapters and it worked fine.

Hp pc m7640n won't turn on and power supply light is out

OK, this can be a hard thing to fix. Most of the time, the power supply is the first thing to go on a PC. However, when you stated that the motherboards LED came on after you unpluged the PS from the motherboard, it leads me to believe that the motherboard is the issue but the power supply might be outputting higher voltages and the motherboard might be shutting down. Since the power supply is cheaper then most motherboards, I would recommend getting a new one. Check ebay for a new power supply. It should be about $20 with shipping. If the same thing happens, then you need a new motherboard...

Swapped hard drive into new casw and now it wont boot up

This is due to a hardware conflict.
The system drivers on the hard drive are for the old mother board and devices,You will have to reinstall OS while it is install on the new mother board,The computer cannot boot to a drive that is loaded to another system unless all the devices and drive are identical.

Please rate this a fixya

848p-A7 motherboard Intel P4 Processor, system doesn't boot when swiched on

dude.. your problem may have different root causes..
in general what you want to do is the following:
1. make sure everything is seated properly and test
2. make sure your memory sticks are compatible to *********** board, installed in the right slot(s) and test again
3. make sure your power supply is working properly and power plugs are properly seated (use it in another systme or teste it with ps tester and test again

do you hear a series of beeps?, is there any video going to the screen? any errors??

uninstalled any new hardware you had and leave the system with the minimum to work. motherboard, video card (use onboard), sound card (use onboard) network card (use only onboard if any), mouse, keyboard. and test.

things to try before blaming the motherboard or the processor is to read check for bios updates or confim you're using compatible hardware for your mb, here's the link for the manual, drivers, updates from the manufactorer for your motherboard..

Power shuts down while booting

most likely, the PS is saving itself from thermal meltdown. 1.) verify that the PS cooling fan is spinning. If it is, continue to step 2. If not spinning or spinning slowly, open PS and thoroughly clean using compressed air outside. 2.) remove PS connectors to mainboard and re-insert them. Repeat this 3 times to "wipe" the contacts to clean metal.
