ECS C51GM-M Motherboard Questions & Answers
JMicron PCI Express...
No question?: It's likely that you need JMicron's driver while installing the OS (their drivers aren't available on OS install disks--if you skip that, you have no driver for the card--it can't work. If the card can't work any drives connected to it can't work, either. The drivers are available on their site, though--you likely need to do some searching there to get the correct one (through FTP and http folders).

My computer beeps on start up nothing on screen and beeps over and over
Try putting in a PCI vid card. Just an older one. Not a PCI- Express unless you have one.
I had the same problem. And the dipwits at ECS programmed the BIOS to default with an PCI vid card. Not on-board.
Then, just go into BIOS and change the boot 'Init Display first' to "on
board" or something like that under PnP/PCI Configurations.
Under "Advanced Chipset Features" 'Onboard GPU' make sure it is
{Enable if No EXT GPU] or always enable or something like that.
Believe me I had the problem. Was ready to dump it, or do a RMA. Messed
around for a year and 1/2 then as a last resort put in an old 2mg PCI
card. And it booted right up. I was pissed as hell that they would set
the default to an EXT card on a board that claims to be ONBOARD video.
Believe me they are going to hear about it.
Also depending on the ram installed. As I am having this problem. Now.
It defaults to single channel DDR2. And I can only get 1 533 stick to
work. For some reason, the board refuses to post when I have the second
of a matched pair in the slot. So if you have that - try taking out the
second stick. But try the video deal first.
Added a 2gb ddr2 to top up the 1gb but now I only get a bleeping sound.

Unfortunately it's not unusual to get a laptop or mb that has some USB slots that don't work. I'm assuming you've checked to make sure all the power wires are connected? If it's all connected and not working I would exhange the board rather than trying to fix it.
I have problem in my in built sound card , drivers
If you are running windows XP SP3, you'll have to let all of your updates run - there was a flaw in SP3 that caused a lot of sound cards to stop working, but they patched it and released it in the updates. Hope this helps.
The ECS C51GM-M Motherboard problem is that the
This could be due to many things. One is a bad power supply. Any peripheral that is bad could cause it. Your memory could be bad. I would unhook every peripheral/hardware but the video cable, memory, CPU and keyboard/mouse. If you get video then one of the other things are bad. For instance, I have found that a bad CD will prevent a system from booting.
If you have no luck, then the problem lies in the motherboard, memory, or CPU. To eliminate the memory possibility, take one stick of memory out and try it.
