Can not take a photo

I have a "LS 443" Kodak Easy Share camera that does not take pictures now. I can review the ones I have taken in the past, but nothing shows for current photos in the screen on the back. Can it be repaired?

It's nearly impossible to troubleshoot your camera without seeing it, but your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

I have a Kodak Easy Share M853 which I love. However, when I connect it to my computer, it takes the pictures that I have taken directly to my Kodak Easy Share account on line. This is really handy;...

There should be an option in the EasyShare online album to save them to the PC - you may have to click on the picture first though. If not, you can right-click on the picture and choose the Save option.

How can I transfer pictures on internal memory to the memory card on a Kodak Easy Share CD80?

You would need to connect your Kodak Easy Share CD80 first to a computer via a USB cable. Afterwards, the computer should detect another drive (which is your Kodak camera) by going to My Computer. Once you see the drive for your camera, you just need to double click it so that you can paste the pictures that you want to send to your Kodak Camera.

I have a Kodak LS 443. Been a great camera until

This problem is frequently due to corroded battery terminals inside the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning. Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
