My front loading washer has had an F 26 error code 3 times now since we purchased in in Sept. when this code appears the washer is totally out of commission until a repair person comes and clears it. I can't find this code anywhere in the manual, nor on any help sites, so can someone please let me know what the process is to clear this code so I can use my washer. It's Sat on a holiday weekend so getting someone to come and fix this will be a long wait... Please help...
Thanks much
The F26 error code on the Duet washer is a door switch error. The button inside the door opening might be stuck so that it doesn't register as being opened and closed. First press the pause/cancel button to clear the error display. Next push the button inside the door opening a few times and pull it so that it pops out completely. That should solve the problem.
Rassman-you just saved me time and money waiting and paying for a service call. I cancelled my program, jiggled the door button and and the machine started right away!
Gotta love the internet!
Thank you so much!
You can clear codes by hitting pause/cancel twice f26 indicates an electrical promblem that your feild technican is supposed to contac whirlpool about i got friends there and wiil call after new years but i need your complete model num and serial number my e mail is [email protected] im tech17 but having trouble logging into this site right now could indicate a ground fault in your house or your outlet not polerized right something till i get you an answer just hit pause cancel twice
This error code indicates that the door needs to be opened and closed.
The F26 code may appear the first time you try to use the washer. Open and close the door to clear the display.
The F26 code may also appear if the washer has run three cycles without the door being opened. Open and close the door to clear the display.
If opening and closing the door does not remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice
Please advise me on any recalls and technical information involving error code 3E during a wash load, which appears related to be a faulty control panel. My machine is always shutting down each time it reaches the rinse cycle. Numerous consumers have been complaining about this same model at consumeraffairs.com. Replacement of the control panel is expensive at an average cost of 298 dollars and appears to be the corrective action for other consumers with error code 3E. Over current is not being detected at the motor. I'm disappointed with the quality of this washer considering I purchased it in 2005 for over 1,000 dollars. This problem has forced me to use a local laundry mat to wash my clothes. This error code is not listed in the User manual.
