Most often the problem is that the rubber rings are too old. The best is to open the machine, put the lid back on top, add the water container, add water. Push the espresso button, and afterwards (when the espresso is finished) open quickly the lid and check the origin of the water. I have a magic de luxe and it turned out that when i replaced the boiler, one of the high pressure tubes were damaged. Other frequently occuring problems are related to old rubber rings. the cost virtually nothing, and are easy to replace!

Andre

It sounds like the seal is loose (worn out) or damaged in any case....not sealing. Calypso's splash a lot and when bleach is used regularly they corrode quickly. To replace the seal you have to get a whole inner lid assy. I also advise not using bleach or at least not regularly.
In regards to condensation/water buildup in rear lamp assembly of 2004 RX-8; the problem is defective gaskets. They degrade over time and fall apart. If your vehicle is still under warranty the dealership will replace the gaskets as per recall. Since it is not a safety issue, as my dealer told me, if your warranty has expired you can purchase new gaskets (around $40 each) or remove the tail lights yourself and apply silcone or rubber gasket sealant to the old gasket (inquire with a body shop as to what to use, I used Permatex ULTRA Rubber Gasket Sealant & Dressing).WARNING: Do not use solvents of any type to assist in the removal water/condensation for light assembly as solvents will dry out the lens and crack them: which is what happened to me, however a few days later my neighbor hit my car and damaged the light so I had it replaced. Handle the light assembly carefully as they can crack easily.
It's my opinion that the tube goes in the boiler so that when the water boils, the steam will push the water up the tube and to the brew head. Without the tube, you will just get steam through the grounds.
