Help! I think I broke my espresso machine
Most likely you burned the rubber gasket.
UNPLUG your coffemaker!!!
If you remove the gasket and the little metal filter attached by a screw and clean it off well and put a new gasket in it should solve your problem.
Krups cappuccino manual
Don't know if your still looking, but if you go in the customer service section of the Krups website (krups.com) and ask them for the manual they will email it to you. Or, email me and I can send it to you!

If you need the control module you will have to go to Krups. If you just need a relay I recommend Norvac. You can bring most any electrical component in and they can match it. I just found out they are only in my area. You can also check Radar Electronics and you could get lucky at Radio Shak. I hope that helps a little. you could also send me a picture of the relay and any numbers that are written on it.

Hi,
I have a #872 model. It is very similar to the #871.
Where the gasket is there is a small metal filter too, attached by a screw.
UNPLUG your coffemaker!!!
If you unscrew the filter and remove it with the gasket most likely you are going to find the other side of it clogged by coffee. Wash it off and wash the gasket well too with dishwashing soap. Rinse them off well.
You should try to clean off the coffemaker part to where the gasket lays. Usually it is full of burnt of coffee.
If there is no other problem with your coffemaker this should solve your problem.

- security valve of boiler openes to early and dont let the pump to rise pressure enough for good brewing( if it is this you can see water returning back to container if you have 2nd pipe in your machines reservoir)
I need to clean my
Beleve it or not, if you want to clean a clogged coffee machine, add to the well a cup of white vinegar (inside the water reservoir), with no water, and let it work to percolate the vinegar. The fumes are bad but it will unclog the filtering. Be sure to put water (no coffee) and percolate with no coffee at least 3 times and you have a clean coffee machine.
