This code will set for two reasons if the washer doesent start filling after 30 seconds or fills to10.5 gallons in eight minutes and the pressure sensor hasnt triped so time it and post a reply to your message letting me know which condition exist make sure your drain hose isnt too deep in your drain pipe as this will siphon water out as it fills and mke the washer think the second condition exists consult your owners manual for proper drain hose instalation

Put the temp select switch on HOT, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. If there is water flow switch to COLD, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount should be approximately equal or slightly more than flow on HOT. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. Move selector to WARM, start machine. Now there should be twice the flow of water than there was with HOT and COLD temps. I suspect it is the HOT side of inlet water valve that has failed because machines usually rinse with COLD water.

My Washer stops at the rinse cycle and will not continue. Fast forward to spin and it works. What might the problem be?

Hello, The problem is going to be one of two related problems . All rinse cycles use only cold water and either the cold side of the water inlet valve is not opening and the cold rinse water is not filling the tub and the washer will sit and wait for ever till the tub is full so it can continue the rinse agaitate cycle. If yo do have a warm rinse try that or try filling on the start cycle with cold water wash and see if cold fills,if not the water inlet valve needs to be replaced. I have included a video showing you how to do that. The part number for that valve is 285805 it could be purchased at your local applaince store or online at; searspartsdirect.com apwagner.com appliancepartspros.com repairclinic.com apdepot.com The other potential problem is going to be the filter screen on the back of that valve is blocked and needs to cleaned. To check that turn off the water supply and disconnect the hose, pop out screen and see if its clogged. Also check for water flowing from the hose when disconnected from washer. Good luck,i hope this helps you to fix your washer.

My washer will fill with water during the wash cycle just fine, but during the rinse cycle the water just trickles in. The water lines seem to be fine. What else could be causing my problem?

usually the wash is a mix of hot and cold and the rinse is just cold, that said, it is most likely a problem with the cold water supply. check to make sure the cold water valve is all the way open and the hose isn't kinked. If those are ok turn the water supply off and remove the supply lines on the machine side, you will see a screen inside the washer that may be clogged with sediment. If so, just clean it out and put it back together. You may also want to run a wash cycle on cold only to see if it fills slowly for the wash cycle. If it does fill slowly on cold you have low pressure on the cold side.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error code F/H means no water was detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. It can also happen if the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash. You’ll need to Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Rinse cycle water flow slow

This problem is commonly attributed to a water inlet valve (also known as a "mixing valve") that is going bad. The water may appear to flow better during the intial fill cycle, because BOTH solenoids (HOT and COLD) are typically used during the initial FILL cycle. However, nearly all washers use a cold water RINSE. This means only one solenoid is energeized during the rinse cycle which reduces the water volume even more.

If you live in an area that has hard water, or if you use well water, the inlet valve and/or fill hose sediment screens can become clogged with sediment, calcified deposits and rust resulting in a restriction of water flow. You can try cleaning the sediment screens and the water inlet valve in a 50/50 solution of distilled vinegar and hot water to see if you can dissolve any sediment or deposits. Removing the valve from the washer and allowing it to soak in the solution for about 30 minutes, then flushing it with clean water can sometimes return an inlet valve to normal operation. If cleaning the valve does not work, however, you will need to replace it. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575881-replacing_water_inlet_valve_on_whirlpool

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices will vary between sites so shop and compare. The first three sites on the list have helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you with locating and properly identifing any parts you may need. If the model number you listed this question under is correct, the Water Inlet Valve number is 285805 and is listed as item 18 under the "Controls and Rear Panel" parts listing. The average price is less than $20.

If you have any questions, or if your model number is different, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

My whirlpool washer fills up with hot / warm water (cold doesn't work) pretty quick for the washing cycle but it takes forever when filling the rinse cycle....help

The amount of water on the rinse is lower becaus it's using cooler water. You stated that the cold water isn't working.
Shut the water supplies off. Take the hoses loose from the hose bibs. There should be screen washers in the end of the hose. These are to catch the sediment that normally flows through the water supply pipes in our homes... Take the washer screens out and clean them with an old toothbrush.
Reinstall and while you're at it clean the hot side too.
Then take the machine end of the hoses off and check that it's all clear there as well.
Re install and run your machine on a cycle and monitor it to see if there is better flow on the cold wash cycle AND the rinse portions of your cycles...
If there is no screen washers in the hose, chances are you'll need to clean the water supply valves in the machine... real fun.. HOPE There's washers in your machine..

Cold water will not stop filling during rinse

while the unit is filling in the warm cycle. reach behind and shut off the hot water tap.I bet the water flow stops filling, if so, you would need to change the inlet valve on the machine. You see, in warm, if the cold is not filling, you still hear the hot filling and the unit will advance. The rinse cycles are mostly "cold" only. if the valve is not opening it will not allow it to advance from the rinse section on the board.

Good luck!

Water barely trickles out for rinse cycle

Hello,

It sounds like you have some buildup in the cold water valve screen. Where the hose connects to the washer there should be a screen inside the valve. Remove the cold water hose from the washer and clear any debri on the valve screen.

If this doesn't fix the slow cold water flow then you will have to replace the whole water valve assembly. The water valve is the piece that the hoses connect too and supply water to the washer.

If you have anymore questions about this please ask. I will be more than happy to help you out.

Thanks
