New computer, can't find disk to install

Enter your operating system in the drop-down menu.

Drivers and additional software links will be displayed. Click on the file name to download them.

Save the file to your computer. (Desktop is easiest if you are not familiar with placing the files in a folder.)

You can then install the driver/software from your computer.

then it will display some connection wizard 4 u.
where u will choose 4rm other alternative that is manually not 4rm cd rom
there u will find diff. kind of product 4 ur printer where u will choose the model, if u can find the model choose other
finally, print a test page and ur printer brgin to work automatically

The driver may already be in your computer, depending on your OS. On your windows desktop, left click the mouse on the Windows START button. Left click on CONTROL PANEL. Look for the PRINTERS icon and left click on it. When the PRINTERS window opens up, left click on ADD A PRINTER. Windows should automatically detect your printer if it is plugged into a USB port. Left click on NEXT. On the CHOOSE A PORT window left click on USE AN EXISTING PORT. On the drop down menu, choose , one of the USB virtual printer ports., and left click on it. Left click NEXT, which opens the INSTALL THE PRINTER DRIVER window. In the left box, scroll to CANON. In the right box, find your model pinter and left click on it. Left click NEXT, TYPE A PRINTER NAME APPEARS. Click NEXT,and the driver will be installed. Click NEXT and enable or disable printer sharing. RIGHT CLICK ON YOUR PRINTER ICON, AND USE THE DROP DOWN MENU TO SET YOUR PRINTING PREFERENCES AND PROPERTIES.

how do i install my printer onto my new computer if i lost the installation disk or cd rom?

I just cut and pasted pixma ip1500 into google and went to first link, and choose correct driver from driver section for download.
