Just visit www.mitsubishi-tv.com and look for the support site on the top page and click for product documents, the exact model starts with
WD, WS, or WT sometimes VS and its located at the back

Went on official website - this doesn't work. Under the document heading it says model not found. . . .when you go to the troubleshooting heading - there are a ton of prewritten questions but when you click on any of them, the links are dead. They go NO WHERE! What a great website! But - they are still selln tvs!

My xbox360 Wont work on my WS-55513 MITSUBISHI COMPONENT

Try changing the settings on the Xbox under display to 1080i. If it is 1080 p, or 720p, the image will look funny so make sure it is at 1080i.

HD setup, 480 to 1080 not working.

I had this same problem, got my HD installed yesterday w/ Direct TV, have had this TV since '02. The fact that is wasn't working, and Google, led me to your post in search of answers. I even went to a local retailer that sells the Mitsubishi TV's and they were as helpful as if I had gone to a drug store seeking the answer. So, between browsing other posts, and then going to the manual (who'd of thunk) I got my, and your, answer. You need to do the following, nothing magic: 1)Connect the component video output of the Direct TV HD Receiver to the DTV inputs on your TV. The COMP 1/2 inputs are NOT 1080 compatible, only the DTV input. As another poster said, you must use component video cables, not the old red/yellow/white cables. you can lose too much signal quality w/ the old R/Y/W cables and your TV still won't recognize the 1080. 2)Set your receiver to a HD Channel, which are in the 70's. 3)Use the format selection on your remote and select until you get the 1080i Standard (or whatever your preference is) format. 4)Enjoy Bottom line is the COMP inputs are not HD. Page 64 of the manual (at least the one i downloaded from mitsubishi-tv.com) is what gave me the final piece of the picture. Good Luck!
