Without proper testing I would only guess that this problem is the power supply has failed.

The constant blinking green light means for one minutes and then goes solid green, that the TV is not booting up. This is a common problem on this set.You need to remove the shield from the DM board (standing upright on the left where the DTV RF connector is)and inside you will see the four leaky capacitors (1000 MFD 16 VOLT)replace them,plug the TV in and wait 70 seconds for the blinking light to stop,then turn on the TV.The hard part will be removing the board from the TV(lots of screws and connectors,takes time)

You must do some checks first:LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Verify the standby supplies, 12-volts at connector KA pin 17, 6-volts at KA pin 18 and the 28-volts at KA pin 19, if the supplies are present suspect the DM PCB part # 934C067001 LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 UFD 16) on the DM PCB, if they are bad replace them with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD 16 V). LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature; this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds . LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector RF pin 4 and 5 on the Signal PCB if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D736001. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector RF pin 4 and 5 check good suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C061001.

well, I fix it my ws-55517 and I changed 4 capasitor from DM Board, numbers :C81..C81a..C82b...C81c....1000ufd,16v,105c

Existen unos capacitores que con el tiempo fallan y te dan el sintoma que tienes en tu TV. Estos filtros o condensadores estan localizados en la placa DM (Modulo Digital)
Presione Aqui donde se encuentran instrucciones de como y donde se encuentran los filtros.

You need to replace your backlight. Look in your manual on how to do this.

1,2 error code means NO ERROR FOUND. The set is older and may not be compatible with this set---what type of connection is being used and to which rear input?

If you do not have the service manual I can get you a link for a free online copy which contains a lot of information for free.It can be either read or downloaded for free.

Try website like Tvrepairworld.com they sell these capacitors kits put toghether for most of the DLP tvs DM power supply board repair.Talk with them they should help u further.

two ideas:Make sure you tested the pico fuses inside the unit with the caps==two or three of them.Also from front of set behind speaker grill unplug both plugs that go up to front keyboard--set will still work with remote===if set functions now then the reset micro switch is bad/damaged.

ONLY 1 of 2 things can cause this problem----First thing to do is remove front speaker grill--it should pull out and issecured with plastic pegs--behind it you will find an inspection plate---Notice the one or two pairs of wires coming from the front keyboard of theset---remove the inspection plate and follow the wires to the right--you canunplug both plugs(most have two and they are marked with letters and differents so you cannot get them wrong)The idea here is to remove the front keyboard with its reset button etc fromthe circuit---You will still be able to try to turn the set on with theremote---These sets have a Receiver that is called a DM board--(large metal box to theleft as you look from the back) and if the power goes out the green light willblink for about 70 seconds and then go out---it is the Receiver booting up. Itis called the DM board.If disconnecting the keyboard allows the set to turn on--you have a bad resetswitch and two choices---either operate the set only with the remote or toremove the front screen and get at the reset switch (it is tiny) and removeand/or replace it.If disconnecting the keyboard does not restore the set to operation---thereceiver is bad---there are 4 or more caps and some pico fuses that can fail inthat unit---Mitsubishi no longer sells or repairs these--if it is bad and notthe caps there is a company you can send the unit to and have it repaired--ifyou need to know their name let me know---You can call them and get a quote for repairing the receiver.Let me know what more information you need--I am here to help.If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpfulas I do this here for free.SD TECH
