SOURCE: Frigidaire Dish washer MODEL

hi there aaliyazaidi2.is the water clear or dirty that you find in the dishwasher?there are two ways this could be happening.1,if the water is dirty[although it dose not have to be ,but its a sure clue]its you drain line of your dishwasher.what happens is because the drain line is lower than the sink drain, when you use your sink water runs by way of gravity in to the drain hose and then fills up your dishwasher, till you drain it or wash a load...to solve this problem you need too make a loop as we repairman call it.get some zip ties ,or what ever[string] and tie your drain hose off at the top off the sink under the sink cabinet[imagin your drain hose as a roller coaster, the hose coming from the dishwasher is the start of the coaster before it goes to the top of the big hill.what you want to do is ,at the top of the roller coaster hill, tie your drain hose to what ever you can under you sink causing a hill so when your hose goes back down ,it ends up into your disposer or what ever plumbing it ends up into.[hay i hope i helped you understand what i mean their];#2,the other way is your dishwasher water valve may not be sealing well. the water would only be clear if this was the issue and could be warm water because its only hot water to the dishwasher.what happens here is because the water valve is not sealing water slowly adds to your dishwasher may be drops at a time, and over the hours gone by it accumulates and the you notice water in the tub.to solve this you replace the water valve.its[most of the time blue, but could be tan or white]under the dishwasher.the water line from your house goes to it.i hope this helps you you can email if you need more help. God bless ,tom

SOURCE: 6 mo. old frigidaire d/w displays the "ER clean S" flashing error

Probably a control panel failure. This unit does not ventfrom the front like most do, so there needs to be some clearance above the top of the tub to avoid blocking the vent fan, otherwise moisture gets trapped in the machine and works it's way into the control panel eventually.

SOURCE: doesn't get dishes clean

Remove the lower spray arm, the filter and the volute cover. Check for a foreign objects inside.

If there is nothing wrong then the pump & motor has to be replaced.

- The part number for the pump & motor assembly is AP3160640

SOURCE: Dishes bottom rack are marginally clean. upper

Just fixed my Frigidaire. The outboard o-ring on the main pump became distorted and stretched. Check your local hardware store as Frigidaire wants $17.50 + shipping. Good luck

I have a PLD4555RFC dish washer and I'm getting the err display it will runn thru a whole cycle and right before the end it gives the err message is this solvedby doing the same sequence

Hello Ken R, thanks for the post!
I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher, PLD455RFC, is going through the whole cycle and then will provide you an ER code. The code ER on a Frigidaire dishwasher stands for a membrane switch failure. Generally that means that the main control board has detected a stuck key or a key pressed in for more than a minute. I see you have already attempted to reset your appliance and you are still receiving an ER code. Some possibilities that could be causing this problem are a wiring issue or main control board. These intricate parts do require precision and patience, therefore when replacing the exchange of electrical components or removing them from your appliance, I always suggest seeking professional assistance. One must be very careful as these replacements can lead to potential harm. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

My dish washer dose not start, it keeps yieling "

Hi enasammar, First thing to do is to reset. Merely unplugging the power cord from the wall socket for 4 hours, then power up again. The purposed of unplugging is to dissipitate the stored current in the memory IC thats control the unit to hang up, so it will gone. Take out all inside the unit and clean, then turn on . If still not working give me the model number so i can find the schematic diagram for that unit. Hope it may helps.

Dishwasher er error code

I have a similar problem with my Frigidaire FDB4050LHS1. My Owner's Manual says to contact the Customer Care Center if the display shows "Er", "uF", or "CE". When I called them, Maria didn't have a clue what the codes meant - all she could do was give me phone numbers to authorized service centers in my area.

I managed to get ahold of a "SERVICE DATASHEET" P/N: 154718601. The error code "ER/ER" means there is a "switch failure"; "ER/CE" denotes a "Configuration Error"; "ER/uo" means "Vent will not close"; and "ER/UF" means "Fan not running".

The schematic only labels three switches - labeled "USER INTERFACE SWITCH", "DOOR SWITCH", and "FLOAT SWITCH". There is also a switch in the pump motor assembly. If either the door or user interface switch is faulty, then you probably won't be able to do anything other than call a repair service - unless you know how to replace these switches yourself.

If the float switch is causing the error, you might be able to run the "Water/Service Test". From "PF" (denoting a Power Failure) or idle mode (with no lights on whatsoever), press and hold the "DRY/AIRDRY" and "START/CANCEL" buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. This will start an 8-stage test that runs for about 7 and 1/2 minutes. The display will show which step the test is in until it shows an error code. Step 1 tests the water valve, which is where the float switch is located. If that switch is bad, you will likely see "Uo" displayed within the first minute of the test.

Error code ER then UO any ideas?

So far so good. I fixed mine by removing the vent and even though it says no repairable parts I disassembled it then removed the rubber gasket and cleaned it with a brush under hot water. I then cleaned the plastic ring it seals against. Next I removed the spring and stretched it to make it about a quarter inch longer and then reinstalled the spring then the rubber gasket and then closed up the unit. So far it is working fine. I suspect the real problem is that there is a tiny sensor that needs to be covered when the vent is closed. If this is not covered the uo error code is generated.
