The first thing you must do is to confirm that you have voltage at the amp. Just because the fuses look good, that doesn't mean you're getting power to the amp.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

SOURCE: To bridge a Kenwood KAC-9102D

Hello laurogleal,

The Kenwood KAC-9102D is a mono amp. There is no bridging. Having two sets of terminals is just a more convenient way of connecting two subwoofers. The amp is stable down to 2 ohms impedance, so it is safe to run 2 4 ohm loads in parallel.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: want to bridge my subs I have a kenwood kac-719

from what i have read about your amp, it is already a mono amp, and rated for 2 ohm's, so all you have to do is wire the subs in parallel (both positives together to positive and both negatives together to negative) or series/parallel if you have dual voice coils (both positive and both negative paired on each sub, then positive from amp to positive on one sub; negative on that sub to positive on next sub; then negative on sub to negative on amp) Note though, with two dual voice coil subs, you can have a 1 ohm load with the first set up, which can damage your amp. Let me know if this helps :)

SOURCE: connecting subwoofer to kac-7201 kenwood amp

from your sub connect one short piece of cable from + on one side to - on the other side using the same diameter cable as you are running to the sub from amp . this will leave you with + and - on opposite sides of speaker these will then run to the amp +to+ and - to- on the mono side of connetor which is one left + and one - right and the amp switched to bridged

Power amp wont power up

Check the fuses-should be a pair of 30 amps on the side. use a paper clip and jump power from the power+ to the remote+ and see if that lights it up-if it does than your remote lead isnt giving it juice-

Install my Kenwood KAC-9102D in my 2006 Acura RSX Type S

You will probably need to use a Line Output Converter (LOC). They're available at virtually any shop that sells car audio.

Many times, the outputs of the OEM amplifier will have significant DC voltage on them. This could damage the input circuits on the kenwood amplifier.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

My back speakers wont produce any sound

OK I believe there is a small indented "Reset Button" around somewhere on the back of the unit, With the unit powered ON, & using a small diameter implement, straightened paper clip etc, press IN the button and this should "Reset" ya unit. This may indeed fix all your problems as the Unit "Reads" the speakers at turn on.

Speaker outputs blown on 4 channel amp

the outputs should be replaced in pairs, there are 2 to 4 pairs, but you sould only need 1 pair replaced. these transistors typically range between 10 to 30 cdn each + labour, look for 1 to 1.5h to replace & test the unit after repair. check your local repair shop for their rates. good luck
