Frigidaire Gallery Model FSG447GHSD gas dryer: Bought new in July 2000. Installed side by side with washer, not stacked. Family of four. Used weekly.
Problem - Rust stains on clothing, not grease. the stains have an arched shape to them. The trouble shooting guide only addresses Grease and oily stains with a probable cause of Fabric Softener Sheets. We use a liquid fabric softener, we do not use fabric softener sheets.

Long exhaust run, 20 to 25 feet, cleaned annually. Lint trap cleaned each use.
Service history: replaced the timer in 2007.

My Frigidaire Washer Leaves Stains all over our clothes

Since this happened from day 1, your water may be the problem. Do you have well water? If so, get a softener system. This will get rid of the iron, which is responsible for rust stains. I really doubt that a new machine would cause rust or grease.

Why didn't you do something five years ago when you first noticed this? It will be much more difficult to get a resolution from the manufacturer after5 years.

I have a Frigidaire stacked unit that I bought in 2005. The screws in the dryer drum keep falling out, their are 3 screws I have lost one, one still in and one I found in my clothes. The unit has caught...

Take one of the screws down to your local hardware and buy new ones and lock washers (with teeth on the inside so clothes won't catch on them).
Good Luck

How to stack w/d gas Frigidaire Gallery dryer

You are supposed to remove the top of the washer, and the dryer feet lock into brackets...but being lazy I just bolted the dryer to the washer using some metal straps (1/16" x 8 x 4 ") with some machine screws, and it's been fine for years. Not pretty, but I had the same question and no handy internet to help me at the time ;P
