Casio WK-3300 intermittent display problem

I have a Casio WK-3300, and it always powers up fine and works, but the Display seems frozen. If I unplug it and turn it on and off 10-20 times I usually get lucky and it then the display works again.

Any Ideas, I see another user has the same problem. I do not suspect the power supply as the unit plays just fine even if the display is frozen. But this makes it almost impossible to use..

I had the same problem after my keyboard sat for awhile unused, with the display not working, which probably indicates kamangaezeki was right about it being a flash problem. The solution for me was to take the batteries out, unplug the ac, replug it, and then power on while holding the transpose button. This appears to have reset the display, works fine now

Make sure you use ONLY the correct adapter for power. Too small an adapter might cause it to light up but will not operate the unit. The correct adapter should say AD12 on it. It is a 2 volt, center pin minus, and probably 1 or 2 amps capability. Nine volt adapters used with pedals or universal adapters will NOT work with the WK3000.
