Front Left Hand Cutting Reel does not turn under load.

Yes its essentially a vertical rod, belt/pulley on top, through a bearing in the deck to the bottom where the blade is attached. You need a new one. Check home depot for parts or call manufacturer.

Clutch cable routing for a craftsman 971289010 lawnmower

The PTO cable will come out the chassis straight down from the engagement lever on the right side of the dash panel. Will be fastened to the frame on the right side in front of the rear wheel with a zip tie. Loop over the brake rod and attach to the deck on a tab at the rear center of the deck. A hair pin will secure it there. The inner cable continues from there under the belt and the spring hooks into the engagement bracket. There may be two hole for the spring to hook into. They are marked 38 or 42.

Mtd manual

MTD uses several different configurations. Electric PTO's are tensioned all the time by an idler pulley on a spring loaded bracket. Manual PTO's with an engagement lever have a movable bracket attached to the lever via a cable that will tension the belt when the lever is engaged. Another configuration is the deck engages when the deck is lowered with the deck height lever and disengaged when the deck is raised. In this case the belt is tensioned by a large spring from the rear deck support bracket to a mount on the transaxle and tension is released by a rod that pull the deck forward when it is raised.

Hydrostatic transmission will not engage

Hello and thank you for choosing fixya. Many times when your hydrostatic transmission will not engage, it could be due to a loose, worn, or broken belt.

Check to see if your belt is still around all of your pulleys. Also, check to make sure that your belt is tight. Your mower has a bypass rod. This is the rod that you pull out, in order to release your bypass lever on your transmission, when you need to manually roll your mower. Lets make sure that this rod is fully releasing.

Double check your axles. If you have recently removed one of your rear wheels, and did not slide the square key, back into the keyway on your axle, this prevent your mower from moving when you engage your transmission.

Honda hs55 when handle depressed blower fan moves at fast speedauger turns very slow.if auger makes contact with snow auger and blower fan stopsnew belt was installed no slippage of belt present

I suspect that all is needed is a little adjustment of the rod attached to the handle, which hooks on a lever at the bottom of the snow blower drive axle case. Try adjusting the nut two turns, that will pull the rod a little bit more and engage the rubber faced drive wheel, giving it a snugger connection. If this has been checked or still does not help, then I would check inside the case where the drive axle is located. There is a rubber faced drive wheel (as noted above), that runs against a smooth flat metal pulley. The rubber on the drive wheel could be worn out and not engaging properly. I would also check on the front of the case where you installed new belts to make sure that the brake shoe puck that connects to the auger pulley is not binding or perhaps has flipped out of its normal location.

14hp craftsman 42 in.deck. where to reattach engage/ disengage rod on the deck

This can be diffucult if u are not familliar with your tractor but the easiest way is to slip the drive belt off the front pto pulley so that you can move the tention idler by hand. Move the idler arm by hand while watcing the bellcrank that attaches the rod you are talking about. Now attach the rod into the bellcrank with a number 2 hpc clip This should do it. Hope this helps :)

Long drive belt cant remember how to put spring back on

The 'j' hook hooks over the transaxle and just hangs there. The spring attaches to the stabilizer rod (reference # 43) and the other end attaches to the "j' hook hanging on the left axle.

Not sure how to replace the belt in my MTD, Wards snowblower

Remove the housing with the machine off

The idler pulley is designed to push up against the outside of the belt between the drive and motor pulleys when disegaged the belt should look like a loop like a race track

engage the blade clutch and watch to see if it presses up against the drive pully and the motor pulley

their should be a spring attached to the idler arm and i believe the new belt is dragging a little

you should be able to move the belt with your hands ( it should slip freely) rod is engaged or it pulls the idler away

Either a spring causes tension when the rod is engaged or it pulls the idler away

Keep working with it until it is free you may have an adjustment on the spring tension or the linkage rod has an adjustment

I am sure you can do this without an diagram good luck
