Wifes New Acer Laptop With Vista Wont Accept cd

Hello hope you can help me, my wife got a new acer laptop, o.s. is vista home premium, tried to install, dell 810 all in one printer, it said it would not work with with this operating system, any advice greatly appeciated, Thanks in advance

    Sorry Guys I had already tried that, all that happend was say the likes of a doucment could be printed, but there is no scan or copy functions ?

Download the drivers and install them, also download and install the uppgrade file and the application file. Reboot your wifes laptop when told to do that and you and your wife will be fine.

IF it came with a Vista Install,and you are installing the exact same Vista,then YES, The "Key" on the bottom, is the right one and it will absolutely work. These units have a BIOS that has a special Activation Code inside. The Windows install "Sees" that "Code" and Activates Vista. You DO need to user an ACER Version though, this can be downloaded from the "net though, as an ISO,burn that to DVD, and you can use that.

Windows vista home basic problem (acer aspire 6930)
Unless you can find and verify you have an orignal CD there is nothing you an do but buy another license for th use of Vista. If you made a back up set up. Have yo ulooked at the bottom of the laptop. Most of the time it has the Vista sticker with the key for your windows use. reinstall and use that key.

Copy windows vista from my laptop to my acer pc
you can not just copy vista. you would need to get an install cd of vista and install it onto the pc. this still may not fix your internet problem as there is no guarantee that vista will even have the drivers for your pc components.

Bios for vista home premium
use the recovery Cd that came with the pc to restore to vista, you probably would not get drivers for your lappie when u install xp.

or use a vista cd to reinstall vista
