Circuit diagram for audio reflex#eq-2

1
Hook up your equalizer to your receiver if it does not have preamp-out channels. The equalizer should always be between the receiver and the amplifier. Your amplifier will need integrated preamp-out and preamp-in connections to work with this method.
2
Purchase 2 pairs of RCA cables. To run a signal from your stereo receiver to the equalizer and back again, you'll need 2 sets of RCA cable (the same kind that is usually used to connect source components like turntables and CD players).
  • The length of the RCA cables should match the length of the distance between the receiver and the equalizer.
3
Connect one pair of RCA cables between the receiver and equalizer. Connect one pair of cables to the tape monitor output channels on the receiver and the other end of the cable to the left and right channel inputs on the equalizer.
  • You will usually find these channels on the rear of the equalizer.
4
Connect the other pair of RCA cables between the receiver and equalizer. Connect the other pair of cables from the output channels on the back of the equalizer to the tape monitor input channels on the back of the receiver.
  • Right channel jacks will usually take the red colored RCA plug while left channel should take white or black RCA plugs.
5
Use your equalizer. Turn on the receiver and switch the front panel output control to the "Tape Monitor" setting. This opens the tape monitor channels and means that the sound will travel through your equalizer before being sent to the amplifier. Adjust the equalizer knobs according to your preferences.
  • You should now be able to manipulate the controls on the equalizer to change the frequency response or tone of your music.
  • To switch on the "Tape Monitor" setting you should depress the button on the front panel of the equalizer.
  • If you have a tape deck connected to the tape monitor channels then you will have to remove this before connecting your equalizer.

When setting up xr8600 is it best to start mains and monitors master at 0DB?

1. Turn the main and monitor volumes all the way down (off). Plug a cd player into channel 9/10 and play a track of music of your liking. With the main/monitor volumes still off, adjust the gain on 9/10 until the clip light turns on, then back it down until the clip light just turns off. Put the channel volume at 12 o' clock.
2. With the music still playing, turn up the mains to the desired listening level first, and then adjust the graphic eq until the music sounds good in the room. Remember or mark the position of the volume control. Do not use the channel eq on 9/10 for music that has been mastered properly, leave the eq flat. Once this step is completed then you have now set the main eq.
3. Repeat the same for monitors. Turn off the main volume and then bring up the monitor main volume to the desired level first, then set eq. Now your monitor eq is set properly. Remember or mark the position of the monitor volume.
4. Set up microphone - plug a mic into channel 1 with volume all the way down. Speak or sing into the microphone and adjust the GAIN until you see the clip light, then back down a litttle on the gain. Put the monitor and main volumes back up to the mark from step 2. Now adjust the volume and monitor send on the mic channel to the desired loudness first before adjusting the mic channel eq. Use subtractive eq method to minimize distortion and feedback. ...i.e. if the mic is bassy then turn down the lows, do not ADD highs. If the mic needs bass, turn down the highs.

Our Behringer pmp 6000 just recently mysteriously lost both monitor 1 & 2 signals. Please provide some suggested resolutions? Is there anything other then the channel monitor level knobs and the main...

Try plugging in a set of headphones into each of the mon left and right. If the monitor sliders are up AND the channel monitor knobs are up you should be able to hear in ONE SIDE only of the headphones. If not, then you may have failed to power your monitor amp or speakers from the SAME receptacle as the mixer and this can result in ground bouncein building wiring that will blow out the driver chips for the mon signals.

Static only

If you have static, more than likely you dont have the monitor on or plugged in. Also, make sure the the channels are set equally on the monitor and receiver, either on channel 1 or 2.

Try not to place the monitor or receiver near tv's, microwaves, radio's, etc. this may interrupt reception.

Hope this is helpful!

How do I get the USB input into the monitor channel on a Behringer Xenyx1832usb

I suspect that you don't, at least easily.

Try this:

IF you can send it to the mains, run a cable from the mains 1/4 jack back to an unused channel input. Set the monitor level on that channel to send the mains back out to the monitor so that anything on the mains from USB will be in the monitors... This is hokey and you have to disable this channel by not sending it to the mains, from the mains lest the thing will oscillate.

As versatile as this Behringer stuff is, I rather doubt that the USB can be routed directely by setting to the monitors... But just ry to find documentation about this!

Typical of this brand, finding and understanding the documentation can be frustrating.
