hi if this machine has a visible heater element then normally when it has filled then starts to wash then u stop programme by opening the door then the water level should be covering the element but be below the lower spray arms by 2.5 centimetres or so like ERAN says when finished you shouldnt see any water in the base but if you take out the grille or base filter then you may see some water under that....

if you have no leaks, leave the machine alone.if you have, thats a different story.you possibly have a flow switch. close your tap slightly so as to reduce water pressure. Less water will be used.{flow switch detects amount of water filled in a determined time}

When I push auto and start the lights go on and the time, but then it goes off. Why?

Hello. Is this unit less than 1 year old? If so, anything defective is covered under the warranty(parts and labor). After 1 year, certain parts are covered, however, no labor is covered. Make absolutely sure the door is closed properly--there is an internal door switch that must be closed(tells the main board it's okay to start the cycle) or nothing will happen and produce the exact symptom you describe. Next, the unit could be experiencing an error condition causing the shutdown. Make sure the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on(and always run the hot water in the sink before starting the dishwasher to ensure hot water gets to the unit). Next, do you hear the drain pump working? A lot of dishwashers turn on the drain pump immediately to remove any standing water in the pump before letting in fresh hot water. If the drain pump is jammed or clogged, you might hear a soft humming sound only(from the motor trying to spin) and then the dishwasher will shut down due to it detecting a malfunction. Check the float switch in the tub to make sure nothing has gotten underneath it(ex. a spoon or fork can become lodged underneath and the dishwasher thinks there is already water inside and won't fill) I hope this helps you!

I have a LG dishwasher that exhibits occasional groaning, 1E error and poor cleaning. Sometime it works fine but lately it's getting more common.

Since you have replaced the water inlet valve and still have the 1E error code, this leads me to believe that your water pressure could be too low.
1E error code means that your machine is not filling with enough water to operate correctly, so check the supply system completely and also the filters where the supply hose enters the machine.
The poor cleaning could be food clogging the lower filter screen, the groaning is the circulation pump cavitating.

The dishwasser washed not properly small pieces stick to all the dishes, plate, glasses

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.

If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Strange noise when using the dishwasher

The sound may generate form inlet Solenoid. It may come from water pump also. Check inlet water flow also for proper pressure.

Our new LG dishwasher makes loud clunking noise

I believe this is a brand new dishwasher. Please listen carefully to determine of the sound you hear (clunk) is being made inside the dishwasher or is it being made near by. Most times, the problem is that the hot water pipe is baking the noise when the dishwasher closes the water inlet valve ... and the pipe goes "clunk"
I have not had an LG dishwasher make a clunking sound inside itself when the cycle changes. Also, because this dishwasher is so very quiet (well insulated) the pipe banging would be louder than something inside the Dishwasher.
If you have access to the hot water pipe, listen very near it when the cycle changes for the sound. Follow that pipe (hot water) pipe back and insulate it at the point it is banging. (or get a plumber to evaluate and resolve.)
Please get back to me with what you find, OK?
Good Luck!

Dishwasher will not go into wash cycle.

On the LG LDF6810 dishwasher, the best you can do is remove the bottom spray arm and then the 10 phillips screws that hold the filter down.
Pull the filter out and clean it as best you can.
Inspect the sump area beneath where the filter was. Be careful of broken glass and remove all debris. Use a flashlight and look into every little spot down there. Reassemble the dishwasher and operate your DW.
If you still have problems, I recommend a service call. Check your manual to confirm but most LG dishwashers have a 1 year parts & labor plus a 2 year parts only. Have your proof of purchase ready.

Lg dishwasher LDF model one week old makes a lot of noise

Not real sure about the 2H display , I'm inclined to believe it is showing the estimated time for the cycle. As far as the noise, I believe you are on the right track with the water theory, but without hearing it myself I'm not real sure. If it is in the very beginning of the cycle most dishwashers start the cycle with a drain or initial pump out cycle. This is designed to remove any leftover water etc from any previous cycle. Depending on how much water is left over it can make different sounds at the beginning of the cycle. If you have had the unit installed for a while, depending on water conditions(hardness, sediment silt etc.) it is possible that the screen on the inlet valve is clogged or your house water pressure to the valve may not be high enough to completely open the valve. It can be a little tricky to check these yourself, but you would have to turn off the water to the dishwasher check the screen in the valve and then check to see if you have enough water pressure and volume . If you have times when your water pressure might be lower(like when I am filling our koi pond at my house) the water pressure in the rest of my house is lower. At those times it might make some wierd noises while it is filling or might not fill to the proper level. I think I would check on those things before digging into disconnecting water lines and checking screens and stuff. Good Luck and reply back if you have more info that might help us narrow it down for you!

LG Dishwasher making grinding noise then blinking E1 code 10 minutes later

Well done by resolving this problem. The other way to avoid the siphoning problem through the drain hose is adding an air gap valve/connector (available at any hardware store). You can use it even if you don't have a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink. That will assure that you have the proper height of the drain hose.
Hope this helps!
