LG LDS4821ST Stainless Steel 24 in. Built-in Dishwasher Questions & Answers
LG drains and fills at same time.
We have a Candy CDI2012/E-02 32900347 1330 3315 dishwasher from around 2013 that once stopped working about 3 years ago. A constant beeping signaled the problem after trying to initiate the washing cycle. Not remembering the details, replacing the controller card (~€50 ebay) fixed the problem at that time.
Now we had a problem again, similar to the one above. Once any of the programs was started, the dishwasher would first drain any remaining water (if detected any), then fill for a few seconds, then start draining/refilling again for about 3 times in a row until the controller detected there was something wrong. Again, everything stopped with a constant beeping. Replacing the controller card did not help this time.
There were actually two independent problems: We noticed that the inlet water hose was kinked. Thus, only little water would enter. Straightening the hose did not solve the problem, though.
We then thought it may be the flow meter. But it is extremely simple in this machine, turned nicely and did not seem to be the culprit.
However, we noticed some deposits in the water reservoir that also connects to the inside of the dishwasher. These calcareous deposits apparently clogged one of the channels. This may have induced some pressure difference, which the controller apparently interpreted as some water level problem. Unmounting the water reservoir with the built-in impeller, dissolving the clogging with toilet descaling agent solved the problem: the dishwasher is working again.
Actually, no electronic parts had to be replaced.
Lg dishwasher won't drain
The check valve prevents water from returning to the dishwasher after it has drained. If the valve gets stuck closed, it will prevent the water from draining. If the check valve is stuck closed, try cleaning it out and then replace it if necessary.
Where is the fusible link for my LG dishwasher?
If the dishwasher won't start the thermal fuse might have blown. The thermal fuse helps to prevent damage to the dishwasher by turning off power so that it doesn't overheat. Once blown, the thermal fuse will have to be replaced for the dishwasher to work. The thermal fuse is usually located in the control panel on the control board or mounted to the bottom of the tank behind the lower panel. The thermal fuse can be checked for continuity.
Dishes not dry
No they don't do they. Even if you don't use "Sanitize" or "Air Dry". The water doesn't get that hot either if you haven't noticed. With the new "replacement" machine, even after it's done I can't touch the dishes for several minutes. But the LG made that little jingle indicating it was done. There must be an easter egg somewhere that tells the machine to dry. Whatever you do, go and buy Dishwasher Booster, whether your store carries "Affresh" or the Oxy Clean brand, use it every cycle with your washer. You'll thank me. Your problem probably isn't listed under troubleshooting either is it? Just hang some paper towels or a dish towel nearby and expect to dry your dishes when the machine is finished washing them.
Door falls when opened
You must have some wild kids! :)someone must have sat on it and bent all the metal inside bad. Unscrew the panels and try to bend everything back (though it may leak all over from now on if it isn't perfect).
Tub wont fill with water
Could it be the water is not getting to the machine? Usually there is a water inlet fitting on the back or bottom of the machine. Please check that first. Be blessed.
