OPEN THE DOOR COMPLETELY. IF IT GOES BEYOND HORIZONTAL, THE HINGES ARE BENT FROM EXCESS DOWNWARD FORCE. THEY WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED.
CHECK THE DOOR HINGE SPRINGS TO MAKE SURE ONE OF THEM ISN'T BROKEN. IF YOU FIND ONE BROKEN, REPLACE IT.

SOME RANGES ARE DESIGNED TO LOCK IF THE CONTROL SENSES A TEMPERATURE EXTREME. IF THERE IS A FAILURE OF THE SENSOR THAT MAKES THE CONTROL THINK THE TEMP IS UP, IT WILL LOCK THE DOOR TO PREVENT INJURY. REMOVE THE BACK PANEL AND FIND THE OVEN SENSOR LEADS COMING OUT THE BACK OF THE OVEN. DISCONNECT THE SENSOR AND CHECK THE RESISTANCE. AT ROOM TEMP IT SHOULD BE SOMEWHERE AROUND 1084 OHMS. IF IT IS NOT CLOSE,
THE SENSOR IS BAD. PLUG IN A NEW SENSOR AT THAT CONNECTOR AND THE DOOR SHOULD UNLOCK. THEN GET INSIDE THE OVEN, REMOVE THE OLD SENSOR, AND REPLACE IT WITH THE ONE PLUGGED IN.

Hi castabug. How aggravating this must be. This is an uncommon problem but I did run into it before. The beeping sound is comin from the control panel area and no fault code is displayed in the electronic oven control or EOC. Interestingly setting the oven lock out feature will stop the beeping.
There a few possible causes: there may be an open or shorted sensor/probe circuit or oven control circuit. The oven control beeps when a fault condition is detected in the temperature sensor or the connection to the probe or the harness.
You or your technician should test the temperature sensor circuit by disconnecting the P3 connector at the oven control board and measuring the resistance between the two purple wires. . This may be caused by a runaway heat condition, open or shorted temperature sensor/probe, or faulty sensor/probe connection or harness.
If everything checks out then the control board will need to be changed. Joe
Thanks for choosing Fixya!
You are having a problem with the door latch sensor indicating everything is connected correctly. Check to make sure your door is not sagging and then make sure the door latch is not broken or cracked.
Hey Susan, thank you for your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided the oven door on your Frigidaire range is locked and will not close. You can press and hold the cancel button down for at least 15 seconds. If that does not work, you can perform a reset on your range by disconnecting the power from it for at least ten minutes. If you continue to experience issues with the range please comment back. I would be happy to assist you further. -Matt
Thank you for your inquiry, longbowshoot!
I see that you would like to lock the door on your Frigidaire range. Normally, the oven door will lock once the self-clean cycle has been started. The model number you have provided 37BAW*5 is not pulling up as a valid model number. Are you attempting to lock your control panel? If so I need your model number to further review steps on locking your door. You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) behind the lower drawer of your range. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt
