Turn off all power to the hot tub take panel off the side of the hot tub that has the controls. open Box make sure all wires are plugged in to the control panel properly or circuit board then check and make sure that the wire that goes to the on and off switch for the hot tub are not loose. does the light come on on the control panel with the buttons on it to control the hot tub. as the 1st person answered your question it may be what he said.
If none of the answers you receive make you able to fix it you may have a more serious problem such as the control board is bad.
Ok, if this is a heated tub then it is possible that it works off of 220-240 Volts AC. Either you have a disconnect close to or connected to the tub, or it may be wired directly to the main home panel. One side of the 220 volts circuit breaker may be tripped. (being that what makes up 220 volts is two lines of 120) Your circuit breaker may look like it is not in the tripped position, so shut off the circuit breakers then turn them back on again and see if that may have helped.

Depending on how mechanically inclined you are, take apart the tub and clean everything out. No easy task, I know, but who want old dog hair floating around? That will be your best bet.
SOURCE: Aquglass jet tub will only humm no bubbles out of none of the jet
When a motor hums, it usually is the result of what is called "locked rotor." This can occur when the motor's brushes remain on one pair of the commutator contacts. The magnetic field does not shift to the next set of windings and the rotor is locked in place by the unchanging magnetic field.
If you have access to the motor, turn on the power briefly and place your hand gently on the side of the motor. Probably you will feel the vibration of the hum you are hearing, together with some heat. In locked-rotor condition, the motor draws high amperage and heats up quickly. Turn off the power.
If this is the condition, the motor is shot and needs to be replaced. You should copy down the information from the name plate (model and serial number, manufacturer, horsepower, amperage, etc.) and contact the manufacturer or a local appliance parts store about a replacement.
As you said that you recently bought the house, you may have a home-owners warranty which may cover the appliance.
SOURCE: Lasco whirlpool tub leaks. Water runs out on
Sorry, the tub will have to pulled out to find out what is leaking so it can be fixed. There is just no other way UNLESS you can open up the wall on the blind side of the tube. (but its probably and exterior wall...if the house is vinyl sided, it can be done. If brick, you'll have to pull the tub). If you just wanted to convert to a tub only, maybe Bathfitters has an insert solution...

There are two things you can check, there is a tranformer that plugs into the main circuit board(usually a four wire plug). Unplug and check pins for good connection and then reconnect There are usually one or two fuses inside the control box mounted on or near the circuit board. Turn off power to spa and pull fuses and check continunity. This is a good start.
