Main point of control is the thermostat the wire has to go somewhere disconnect fridge from power source have a closer look where wire has come off.Fridge is freezing because its running continuously compressor is not turing off or ramping down if inverter controled.

Hi,
I'm Leo
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Refrigerator is freezing food.

Possible that the compressor is not shutting off and is running continuously. This can be due to failure of the thermostat. Look within the freezer back side for the thermocouple , sometimes the wires can be cut by frosting or there can be loose joints in the links.
If not the thermostat can be faulty and must be replaced.
make sure that the relay contact of the compressor is aslo not struck. Reducing temperature settings must shut it down.

Refrigerator is freezing food . temp set 40 model:rb195bssw samsung

Hi, this problem is going to be with the running thermostat2.gif. (cold Control). It has gone bad and stays open which in turn will keep the compressor running continually and will cause the fridge to get colder and freeze food. It can normally be located in the control panel inside the fridge (it is the control that has wires, the other is the damper). Locate the thermostat and replace it. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Good Luck!! Mike

Would a bad thermostat cause my danby to not completely freeze?

Should operate 24 hours before putting anything in that is not already frozen. Check it again after it has run for 24 hours. Anytime you adjust the thermostat go one click at a time and wait 24 hours for it to stabilize.

Danby freezer not freezer

If it is the thermostat that is defective the two wires that go to the thermostat for compressor operation can be connected together which would power up the compressor. Unplug the unit before attempting to connect the two wires. after connection is made plug it back in and if the compressor operates and the freezer comes down in temperature you definitely have a bad thermostat.

Temp control on high food not freezing

Look for snowy frost build up on the inside rear freezer panel. If there is snow, your self defrost system is not working. 90% chance your defrost heaters are burned out (will sow open with multimeter set for continuity, Rx10, Rx100, etc...) If the heater is good check the defrost termination thermostat at the top of the evaporator (cooling coil) it is clipped to the top. About the size of 15 quarters stacked up.. two wires coming out of it. It will only show closed if it is below around 20 degrees. If neither of them is bad, replace the defrost timer. It is in the top of the fresh food section by the control dials.
