My message light is still on after erasing the voicemail message. What can I do to turn the light off?

Are you asking about voicemail messages or text messages? Most phones allow you to erase voicemail by pressing the number 7 during or after the message. If you have a touch screen phone and want to erase text messages, try touching and holding your finger on the message for a few seconds...a delete button may pop up.

Scroll down to page #39 to where it says Use Voicemail and follow the instructions!! As per the service tech I spoke to on the phone to find this link, following these instructions will automatically erase your old voicemail unlock code as well as any as yet unheard messages.

Set Up your VoicemailBefore your phone can receive voicemail messages, you must set up a 4-10 digit passcode and record a personal voicemail greeting.When you have set up your voicemail, all unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.1. Press and hold the 1 key.2. Follow the system prompts to create a password and record a greeting.

Check your Voicemail

When you receive a voicemail message, a
notification with a voicemail message icon
appears at the top of your screen.
• At the voicemail notification, select Call to call
your voicemail number and follow the system
prompts to retrieve the message.
Select Ignore to clear the notification without
checking messages. The notification icon
remains on top of the screen until you listen to
the message
• When only the voicemail message icon
appears on top of the screen, select
Voicemailand follow the system prompts
to retrieve the message.

You're subscribed to a voicemail system provided by your telephone company that records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

More than likely a co-worker used the "send message" feature on thier set. Under where it says "message for you" one of the soft keys should say MSG. Press the MSG soft key then the ERASE soft key. That will return your screen to normal.

This can usually be fixed by calling the phone number that the voice mail indicator light is flashing on from a different phone number. Leave a voice mail message and then go into the voice mail and delete the message that you just left. The indicator light should then go out.

Do you have any voicemails that you have not erased? Have you tried deleting your recent call list or caller id? This is a message indicator. If you go into your menu, you can turn message indication off

you cannot retrieve messages off the voicemail system I am afraid. If this is down to malicious calls and police are involved speak to O2 as they may have a way to supply evidence direct to police?
Regarding turning off voicemail here are the codes you need, dial 1750 to activate voicemail, 1760 to deactivate voicemail, 901 is used to call in and listen to voicemail and additional options i.e. greeting, pin etc.
WARNING! By turning off voicemail you will ERASE any messages in your voicemail as it resets each time deactivated! So only do this is messages are no longer required!

I had this problem and finally found a number for Eschelon telecom (763 745 8000). This is what they had me do. Press the Speaker button and then enter 7732. This cleared the blinking light and inmail message. This happens when you receive an internal call and someone leaves you a message to call them back. Still can't figure out how to listen to the message. But this cleared the blinking light.

2. At "Call Back" press the button below "Yes"

3. The number that will be called back should be listed. Press the button below "Erase".

Your red blinking light should be gone now.
