Hello Cindy!

I would like to suggest that you download the Free IOBit Uninstall Program from CNET.com, or from any other WEBSite. I have been using this free program and it will help you to uninstall the program, any Program, as well as its, their, Registry entries with a single click of your Mouse after you downloaded, installed the program, and you rebooted your Device. I know this will help! Find this program, download it, install it with
a shortcut on your Desktop and reboot your PC! Than Right Click on it and run it to run it as an Administrator. Than click the Program you want to uninstall, and click remove or uninstall it,
This Program will clean your PC and remove the program as well its Registry Entries as well! Lastly, this program will also Uninstall any junk files that came with the Program! Steve Horvath, Chicago, IL

1)Uninstalling any unwanted or unused software in your Lenovo laptops can be done easily by following these simple steps.

2)Firstly, backup all the necessary documents and other information related to the application before uninstalling it. If the software has its own uninstaller, run it directly in order to uninstall the program.

3)If the software does not have the uninstaller, then you will have to navigate to the Programs and Features option from the Control Panel of your system.

4)Locate the application that you wish to uninstall from the programs and features dialog box. Right-click on the application and then choose the option Uninstall from the drop-down list.

5)Perform the instructions displayed onscreen to complete the uninstalling process.

Hi Cindy
well that varies by the OS.
called a G series laptop at makers site
my wild guess, per makers site
the PC came with windows 7, and not Linux. or newer. windows
click start
so click control panel
click programs
just 3 clicks.

this works on all versions of windows if running windows.

SOURCE: Lenovo G555 overheat

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

I tried to hook up an external "Sharp" monitor to my Lenovo G555 using a VGA chord. It did not show on the monitor. I went through the control panel and picked "Connect To a Projector"....

Do you still have your Lenovo G555 manual? "Try to read when connecting to the projector section"

I will give you some universal function keys to solve your problem

press and hold this:
Fn F3
Fn F4
Fn F5
Fn F6

do this one at a time

others does not function with Fn they use ctrl button. Try to press and hold ctrl with the button mention above with not pressing Fn

I would like to recommend OpenOffice instead.

1) A computer with OpenOffice on it will use anything generated by a computer with MS Office.

2) A computer with MS Office on it will use anything generated by a computer with OpenOffice.

3) There is no 'Learning Curve"
The user interface of OpenOffice is VERY similar to MS Office.

Screenshots of the different office programs within OpenOffice,

Left-click one at a time on each of the screenshots above the headings;
Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, and Base.

4) It is FREE
It is open source software,
