Yes it is wifi supported. I have the same computer. Check your wireless switch it is located just to the right of the three blue lights. Switch needs to be slide to the right.

Almost all laptops require a battery be installed for them to power up. Even if the battery no long holds a charge, it still requires a battery to be installed.

If its running Windows 8 the login might be linked to a microsoft account. from another computer login or reset your password to that account and try logging back into the laptop (as long as it has an active internet connection) If its windows 7 or older you might need to find a Live repair disk (ERD or Hiron's boot cd or something along those lines that has a password recovery tool incorperated) Worst case you would need the windows installation disk or restore disks that came with the laptop

A. By Using the Motherboard Jumper:

In most motherboards CMOS battery is soldered, which makes it difficult to remove the battery. In this case we use another method.

Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.

When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.

Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.

hinges take alot of stress as they have to be quite tight to hold the screen in a certain position, alot of laptops can have over tightened hinges and cause splitting in the housing. Hinges can quite often come loose.
Make sure all screws are present around the hinge area and if you can tighten up your hinges.
If the hinges are badly damage you can buy replacments for a few $ off of ebay
